  1. Seriously? Like for real?
  2. The only 1/32 jigs I have fished had little 1" plastic minnows on them. I think it was branded the Lazer Minnow. I hate fishing jigs that light but sometimes it's all they will bite on.
  3. I have a Elite Tech Smallmouth mh 6'9" and a Tatula SV on the way. I know there are some fans of the smallmouth rods on here. Just wondering what y'all like to throw on yours.
  4. Pretty easy. But a new tip and and glue. Heat up the old tip with a lighter and slide it off. Place a small piece of the glue inside the new tip. Heat it up and slide it on. Mudhole.com has a good selection of tips and a how to video on their site.
  5. I have the same thing happen when I fish the 90. Started burning it back and they started hitting it.
  6. And to answer your other question. Yes I buy most rods sight unseen bc I have nothing local. Closest is Walmart and a Big R store the next county over. I stop in at Cabela's or Dicks to try things out when I can but that isn't very often. I'm surprised your Cabela's doesn't have what you are looking for. I'm always dumfounded by the amount of rods they have.
  7. If you're looking at Fenwicks skip the hmx and look into the hmg or higher. I was not impressed by the hmx.
  8. I have a 6930 on a lightning rod shock. Was my one and only bass combo for a couple years. I broke the frame when my launch rope got caught. Literally ripped the reel off the rod with my truck. Bought a new frame and put it all back together and she's still going strong. So moral of the story is don't tie your reel between your truck and boat and it should provide you years of good service. Enjoy
  9. Read original post^. No room to park a trailer while I'm visiting at the apartment complex. I have a 16' sea nymph, the skinny Jon boat and a 17' Indian River fiberglass canoe. The canoe is not stable enough to stand in and is not very easy to handle by myself.
  10. I don't have any pictures that show the boat well. I'll have to look into the Wenonah. I would love a 1248 but there's no way to carry it on top of the Jeep. There also very heavy at about 250lbs.
  11. I dream of having this day. Sorry you had to leave.
  12. If it's not interference then I'm betting you have the chart speed set too high. Try setting it on 1 or 2. I use mine at chart speed 4 while cruising 4-5mph.
  13. If nobody lost lures there wouldn't be any to find. Bummer bout your rod though.
  14. How about a Plano 3750. The front half of the box is about 4"x12" without dividers so you can fit larger things like spinnerbaits. I believe this is the basic 3700 that most walmarts carry. Thats where i buy mine. I have about 6 of em with all different kinds of bait in them.
  15. I have a lucky craft blade cross that is similar in that it is a treble hooked hard bait with a spinner. Havnt caught a thing on it.
  16. Sounds like op hasn't even touched the brakes. That would be a good place to start. Also still hasn't told us what lb test.
  17. I should think u could find a Jon boat and trolling motor for under a grand. I see them on my local Craigslist quite frequently. I prefer a Jon boat with a trolling motor over a kayak. I know kayaks are super popular these days but they're not for me. I need the room to move around to really enjoy my time on the water. Do you have a tow vehicle for a boat? If you feel comfortable telling me what area you're in I would gladly look through the local Craigslist for suggestions.
  18. I agree. Plenty of good used trackers on the market. Learn top do the maintenance yourself and save some money. Even a new boat needs maintenance.
  19. I use red label and invisx. How does the blue label compare?
  20. Yes. That's how mine is wired. I originally had it wired to the trolling motor batteries and the whole screen was a blur when the trolling motor was running.
  21. If it's wired to the same battery you're probably getting allot of interference.
  22. What is your si chart speed set at? It should be pretty low at those speeds. If your chart speed is set to high everything gets compacted on the screen. If it's set to low everything gets stretched. Does the image change when the trolling motor is off vs running? Maybe you are seeing interference from the motor. Are the Helix and trolling motor wired to the same battery?
  23. How is your transducer mounted? It needs a clear path on both sides to work. What does down Imaging look like? Same? Have you tried adjusting chart speed? How fast are you moving while trying to use si?
  24. How do you guys hook the baby rage craw and tiny paca chunk? Do you thread them or hook them like a chunk
  25. The chip is in the guide. I tried to get a picture but it wouldn't focus. It is very small but causes a great deal of friction. At this point I'm just going to replace the tip. They are sold out of the rod I have so I'm going to get screwed either way. I like the Fenwick rods but I think I'll be looking into St.Croix the next time I buy. Anybody have a recommendation for a replacement line guide? Where's the best place to buy from? I know of netcraft and mudhole. Are there any others I should look at?
