Tips for adding on to a sit-on Kayak
I have a cheap sit on top kayak. It’s a sun dolphin journey 10 ss. I would like to put a couple anchor cleats and an additional rod holder on it but they are made to be bolted from the bottom side however with a sit on top you don’t have access to the bottom side. Anyone have an idea or experience adding accessories to a sit on kayak?

where to go Pike fishing in my kayak
In Wisconsin you can go almost anywhere and catch decent pike but if you have the option go to the Chippewa Flowage. Lot of big pike there.

The real cost of restoration
I was thinking about either painting or just cleaning the bottom white and painting the top black.

The real cost of restoration
It is in pretty good shape mostly I don't like the greenish blue color on top. Trailer definitely will be all fixed up. Been sitting for a long time

The real cost of restoration
I have a 14 ft boat that hasn't been on the water in over 8 years. It's an old boat but it means a lot to me because me and my uncle bought it at a farm auction when I was 8 years old for $50. He passed away a few years ago and my aunt has now given me the boat. I got the engine running and everything seems to work but I would like to give it a paint job and make it look nice again. I've asked a few people and the general response was don't fix up an old boat because it cost a fortune. I want your opinions on how much I could fix this boat up for. Doesn't have to be anything fancy just looks decent. It's 14 ft. (Trying to figure out how to put pictures on here but it's saying I can't upload that much)

An odd and yet telling confrontation on social media
Fished almost my hole life with 20-30 dollar combos. Just recently in the last 2 years I upgraded to a 50 dollar rod then a couple 100 dollar rods. Are they better? Idk to be honest. I want to say yes because I like them but not sure I catch any more fish with them than I did with my cheap rods. People attacking you over your opinion is insane. And a lot of people can't afford $100+ rods

To build or to buy?
First off Thanks for the responses! Ok so generally the reason you guys get rods custom made is to A. Get your desired parts in one rod not all one brands that may have some cheaper parts like lower quality guides. And B. For higher quality construction of the rod. I think you guys misunderstood one part though. I am hoping to build a rod myself not have a custom builder make it for me. I always like using things I built myself. One thing I never tried was a fishing rod and I used to have a friend that did it as a hobby and he said it was relaxing and enjoyed doing it and I've been curious about it since.

Crankbait Rod under 90$?
If you wanna go cheap. I like my old ugly sticks and Berkeley lightning rods. They're about 40 bucks each not including a reel

To build or to buy?
I used to have a friend that built rods and loved doing it. I have been curious about it for a while but from looking at prices at seems almost more expensive to build the rod than to just buy the same rod already made. What are the benefits and reasons you guys build rods? I wouldn't mind doing it just for the hobby but it's not cheap so I'm just wondering what your reasons are
