Yes super boring, good way to fish em cast them out and take a nap on the deck of the boat you get a lot of strikes like that just got to make sure you wake up to set the hook. Joking of course ,not boring at all trust me I’m a flukeoligist !

Do you bank fish rivers? If so you might want to get a 6’6 or 6’9 mhf it will be easier for you not to get hung up on trees and junk I fish rivers and I like a 6’10 max 6’8 preferably because it’s easier to make precise cast without hitting any trees behind you or above you.

I love fishing flukes I mainly fish them weightless on a baitcaster on 12 to 15 pound line I use a 4/0 ewg light wire hook or if I want a faster fall I go with a heavy wire ewg if the fish are on the bottom or there’s a lot of current I fish it on a split shot rig or Carolina rig. Jerk jerk pause let it fall count down till it hits bottom dead stick and jerk jerk pause again this is kinda of the way I started. You can can fish it fast Jerking it on top. You can even reel in slowly and steady and get good strikes just like that. You just have to play with it doesn’t matter how many jerks just play with it till your comfortable with what you’re doing you will get a bite eventually. A little jjs magic doesn’t hurt either.

Their ok if they made a silent version I might buy more I had to tune mine right out the box, not that big of a deal just saying. I like the 75x in the cooler months. Nice hooks nice paint jobs.

Why don’t you return it to the store where you got it? You can also call abu or email them they are not the best customer service but they will call you back I’ve delt with them before they are going to want you to send pictures of the guides via email. Give them a call .

Are there any particular sellers that are well trusted they have names right? What about sellers from China kinda worried about them they are far away? I was looking at a chronarch mgl for 200 seems to good?

Everyone buys off eBay but I haven’t been able to go that route I have zero trust in eBay and since knowing someone that works at the amazon warehouse from the things they’ve told me ,I don’t trust amazon either. But lately I’ve been trolling threw eBay because of the ridiculous deals. Maybe I’ll eventually order from them?

For 49 you can get the abu vengeance rods at Walmart decent rods very light and surprisingly sensitive 66 mh is what I recommend very light rods can do it all.

I just noticed on tw that Powell is bringing back the endurance series of rods updated with all the bells and whistles kinda exited about that I really like the Powell brand last couple of years we’re kinda sucky though. I wish they would bring back the diesel get rid of that nuisance rod. Also worth mentioning that favoriteusa is selling their rods on tw I was surprised to see them. I like the big sexy series not a big fan of the orange black rods I got a chance to check some of theses rods out in hand And those phantom rods are kinda cheapy imo not worth the 80 bucks.

I use a 7 mhmf mojo it was ok for my first spinnerbait rod but I think I’ll go mhf next time around.

Even better question is why do they eat a lure with rattles when there are no fish that make a rattling sound? Even the click sounds that craw fish make don’t compared to a rattling lipless crank?
