Catt, on the very first page of this thread you talked about the area around millionaire point but in particular south pf there around cypress slash. I am seeing lots of drains down there that are leading into what I would think would be spawning areas. Would these underwater points be the area to poke around? You talking about Blue lake? I have seen some guys saying they are seeing hydrilla and pepper grass in SM.

That is where I will be looking.

Heading up there on Thursday if all goes as planned. I was planning on staying until Monday but Sunday and Monday don't seem too inviting. I may use Sunday as a travel day and head back south.

Didn't see any cover. I can see the post that marks the spot but nothing on the bottom. I fish that road bed a lot and have only seen one boat catch a fish there and it was a little catfish.

I have driven by the one at NTBSP many times with my SI and don't see squat.

Anti-well. I Had fever Thursday-Sat. morning. The fever has broken but I still feel like road kill.

I will be there around noon on Saturday and fishing alone. I would be happy to have you join me. If the wind isn’t too bad I am going on the main lake. If it is bad then I will explore the creeks of SM. I will touch base on Friday.

I am not sure how to answer that. It doesn't swing right next to it. A couple hundred yards I guess.

Thanks Catt. I am not trying to be obtuse but this concept is brand new to me. Bayou San Miguel for example runs from the main lake all the way to the back with a billion swings and bends. How do you decide which area to focus on? I can't imagine idling all of that? I stumbled on a group of fish right on top of the breakline on this bend one time. Didn't even know what I was looking at on my screen I thought it was a bunch of logs on the 2D. Then once I learned how to use my units I realized what they were. They have never been there again, but I see fish in the channel on this bend a lot. Am I correct that once they are in the channel they probably aren't actively feeding? 2 weeks ago I decided to go see if the were there and paralleled that straight part to the right of the bend. They had great looking brush right on the breakline but no fish. Any amount you care to expand on this topic would be welcomed and appreciated. Thanks.

How far back are we talking? Should I be focusing in the creek channel itself and it's bends? When looking at my app up north I don't see very many good obvious creek channels that go back in to the coves. I see the main bayou like bayou San Miguel or bayou Lanan. I see corsey creek has a pretty defined creek but that is about it. Where am I going wrong here? Thanks.

The new boat is awesome. It wasn't terribly rough this past Saturday but it was enough chop that I know the new boat is a lot smoother. I am disappointed that I didn't find any groups of fish, but I was able to mark a few new brushpiles so it wasn't a total loss.

I went about halfway back into patroon and San Miguel on Sunday morning. I did not go into any smaller creeks. Thought about going to slaughter and now I regret not going. Here was my track. 60+ miles and the only fish I caught were about 100 yards from where I launched.

Here is how Saturday went for me. Leave north Toledo bend state park for TN bay graph TN bay, nothing to to millionaires point graph millionaire point, nothing go back to TN bay graph TN bay, nothing go to community hole by the bridge graph community hole, nothing go to Lanan graph lanan, nothing go by NTBSP catch some rats go to patroon graph patroon, nothing go to Jane Gaines graph Jane Gaines, nothing go back to NTBSP catch a bunch more rats Quit pretty disappointing and today wasn’t much better. I did not see any groups of fish anywhere except my trusty rats at NTBSP. I will give it another shot in 2 weeks. If it doesn’t get better I may give it a break.

A5, I fish that ridge every single time I am out there. I launch out of the park and look at it on my way out and in my way in. If I see some fish I stop. I usually do pretty well, but like you said no real quality. Catt, where is Boone’s crossing? Is it the next big point south of TN bay?

I am trying to get back up there next weekend. If I do and I head south I will tie a jug tight to it to mark it. Do you think that is the best way to mark it?

No, the one at the intersection of N/S and springhill.

She sho was angry on Saturday. Wind was pumping out of the south. Caught a lot of fish again, but again no quality. Note: There is a stump in the in the left center of N/S if you are heading south just south of the bridge. It is about in line with the community hole and barely above the water level.
