  1. Question. When you say front 3rd of a major creek, are you talking about say housen or are you talking about lets say hurricane? Patroon and San Miguel or the creeks inside of these? The lake is so big that each of the creeks are like their own lake. Thanks.
  2. Heading up on Friday. Gonna put some slime on the new boat.
  3. Jig, shaky head, c-rig and drop shot.
  4. I was mid lake as well. Never went shallower than 15 ft. I caught 12 but only about 5-6 were keepers. It was still fun with my dad.
  5. Fished with Bassfinatic last Friday on Rayburn. Woke up to a nasty breeze which had the trolling motor coming out of the water. We caught a bunch of fish but not any real big ones. I did learn a good bit as I always do. I fished Saturday on Toledo and again it was brutally rough. Ended up catching 12 with the biggest around 2.5. All fish caught on dropshots in around 20 FOW. I could not get them to bite anything else. I graphed a good bit and found some brushpiles that I look forward to fishing this fall. Decided to call it quits around 2:00 to go watch LSU whoop up on UGA.
  6. Wish I could help. Just wanted to come say good luck.
  7. Saturday morning there was quite a few boats heading north while I fished patroon. On Sunday there was only 2. I can bet one of them was Freeman.
  8. 10th place- 12.6 20 th place- 10.3 30th place- 8.11 leader- 16.2 some really big names struggled. Phil Marks didn’t weigh a fish.
  9. It will be real interesting to see what wins the BFL this weekend.
  10. Shoot me some texts to keep me posted.
  11. And from what I am told, Albert is just about the best on Rayburn. I will be headed back up there this weekend (weather permitting) to give it a shot. I have been able to catch some fish, but no real quality. Fishing with bassfanatic again in 3 weeks to hopefully fix that.
  12. I will definitely check out Don Dickson. I watched Ken’s videos and enjoyed them. I wish you could hear a little better.
  13. Highs in the upper 70's next weekend. Gonna be nice.
  14. Have you read the book? I have been thinking about finding a copy.
  15. I don't know how true this is but a guy my brother was working with said they catch spawning fish on the south end in 20-30 FOW. He said they spawn in the forks of the standing timber about 10ft down. Catt: maybe they go up to the bank and spawn in those little pockets. Maybe some stay out there and spawn up on the flats.
  16. Gotcha. Thanks Catt.
  17. Thanks Catt. In the pic below is it #1 or #2?
  18. Can someone show me where Stewart's ridge is on a map? I was trying to describe an area to someone and he said that it is around stewart's ridge.
  19. Another weekend at the pond and another trip full of rats. We caught fish Saturday until the rain ran us off. We fished Jane Gaines and Patroon and ended up with 16 with the average being around 1.5#. It seemed like it would take finding 4 groups of fish to find one group that would bite. But once you found a group that would eat you could catch several fish. Sunday morning we went back and caught about the same size before heading home at 11:00. I finally got a coupe of fish to eat a c-rig, but the majority were caught on dropshot. Probably won't head back for a month.
  20. No. I stayed outside on the ledges.
  21. How deep were y"all's fish? Heading back up tomorrow and fishing Saturday until the rain chases me off. I think I will go poke around in patroon and Jane Gaines. I looked in the blue lake area last weekend and it was dead. I only saw one small group of fish worth stopping for.
  22. I fished Saturday and Sunday before the rain. Saturday we saw a lot of fish and caught 24. The biggest was around 3# with the best 5 being around 10-11lbs. Sunday we didn't see near as many fish and caught 8 small fish. Here are a couple of schools we found on Saturday but vanished by Sunday.
  23. You’re right. Thanks for that.
  24. I cannot wait to wake up early Saturday morning and hit the lake then come in and watch the LSU game.
