I grew up fishing the atchafalya spillway “basin” before I moved. If you ain’t jumping or trying to to run some sketchy stuff you probably not trying to hard.

I’ll ask my brother-in-law pretty sure he makes a trip there every now and then.

While I don’t fish the bend much anymore with work moving me around so much and moving so often. I read the article about the grass. I’m happy you all are getting it back. Flipping deep hydrilla with jigs and craws is a blast.

Deer seasons over for me. Will start making trips in a few weeks this December

I is at work lol. Y’all been catching?

We were in housen I’m sure this cold front has slowed the fishing down.

Went last week me and the best friend boated 100 or so bass in 2 afternoons. All on black and blue Sinkos and frogs.

Never stayed there but has to be better than alpine.

Every fish I caught and most of what the others said were males. Every fish was pale white. I caught them shallow on a chatterbait frog and worm

Fished my clubs tournament. Ended up with big bass. She was just over 5 pounds. caught on a chatter bait. The guy who won the tournament had 18 pounds.

Had a hell of a work week. The house boss told me I could go fishing instead of working around the house. Hopefully I have a report.

Hopefully this cold is what does it in. We will find out soon.

Hopefully this knocks a lot of the salvania out.

I feel bad I haven’t been one time. I’ve been to busy catch 20 inch trout.

Got on a Toledo bend fb page earlier. Don’t mention grass they will fight for hours.

I went yesterday. Had 6 bites caught 3 biggest was a 6.2

@Catt funny you say that bc that power plant lake I fish everyone says prespawn starts roughly around Christmas but in reality it starts I believe with the first cold fronts in October/November. So that means on a normal lake it would start Decemberish @Bass_Fanaticthats a good take on it. Hopefully soon with that project they’re working on it will tell us more about the seasonal transitions.

Why do you think the size increases as you move into the winter months?

Nice to see you’re catching them. I’ve been busy at the power plant lake down the road. It’s been fun catching prespawn fish just moving up.

A few more weeks and we will be hearing about these mega bass being caught. Can’t wait
