  1. How cold do your ponds get in the winter? What temp is it now? They don't freeze over?
  2. Man the cheapest I have seen that book is at least $150! Would love to read it one day! Thanks for sharing
  3. Yeah I was planning on getting a Pelican Bass Raider or like you said a one man tube or something this spring for the summer! That will definitely be something I do at CJ! Checked out the Snake around Nyssa/Ontario and it was awesome!
  4. I recently found two in chrome sexy shad and the bigger version with one knocker at a local tackle shop for $1! also bought a bunch of jerkbaits from xcalubur, got them for $1 and $2, great deal! curious as well, although I opened the packages and hope to use them soon.
  5. Once it warms up I will go on weekdays multiple times, especially once we gain daylight hours once we reset clocks in March. usually through winter 3-5 times a month. I have only been fishing for SM/LM bass lately, I need to do more river fishing for trout in the winter, probably going to catch much more than Bass haha!
  6. Yeah it is back to cold and windy! Went to the snake river, used spinnerbait and didn't have much luck, couldn't get out deep enough from the bank. mostly wanted to explore the snake river around the Oregon border, a lot of great little spots I found to fish once the weather warms up! cant wait to try out CJ, know of any good spots to fish from the bank?
  7. Here in Idaho you cannot use any live bait what so ever........ =(
  8. HA! I just bought some bobbers and hair jigs to try the float and fly technique! You use that in the river?? How long of a leader do you use? Also i will definitely try out the spinner bait in the river! Awesome!
  9. I am right there with you! I will be going out tomorrow, its been so cold here last couple weeks after a huge warm spell, water temps have probably dropped a little. Cannot wait for top water action. Will probably just go Smallie fishing this weekend at the snake river. At least try haha!
  10. I have wanted to try their baits, its like a hair chatterbait! They make reasonably priced baits. let us know how that goes pleeeease!
  11. Oh man! Those are perfect! What do you usually use for Smallies there? I will be hitting all those places this year no doubt!
  12. Guys I found the jackpot, a tackle store here in the Boise Idaho area had a clearance section, each bait no more then $2 each! A bunch of discontinued Xcalibur xs4/xj4 jerk baits and spooks, Gary Yamamoto jerkbaits/crankbaits/top water, Yo-Zuri Sashimi jerkbaits/lipless crank (look amazing), Bomber Model-B, Rat-L-Traps, Hair jigs! I cleared them out! What do you think?! Got a smallie on the Snake River with a black hair jig
  13. it looked to me like VMC had the sharpest hook, is it just me? which would you say is the sharpest? I've always used Gamakatsu, hmmm.
  14. HAHA his videos are unreal! He fishes everywhere, it is no joke!
  15. I would also have to say Bassresource. Also really like LFG, BamaBass, 1Rod1Reel, MillikenFishing, YoutubeFishingVids
  16. I have always been about catch and release, but its fascinating/worrisome to know that it can be detrimental to that body of water/environment
  17. That head looks too big for the body it seems! its like a 15 pound head on a five pound body haha! WELCOME! I can only wish to catch a LMB that big up in Idaho!
  18. Jealous of Florida fisherman! You guys have some of the biggest Bass in the world, also have Peacock Bass which are amazing! Bodies of water are unreal! Oh yeah, and then you have the freaking ocean surrounding you so you can catch whatever salt water fish you want too! So spoiled!
  19. New here as well! WELCOME and Hello from Idaho!
  20. WELCOME! Time to learn how to fish/cast with the opposite hand/shoulder? haha
  21. I have to second that! I just moved to Boise Idaho and I freakin live like 40 minutes away from the Snake River! There is a dam 40 minutes away and access to more isolated stretches of the river. Amazing fishery, multiple species.
  22. I with there was more information on this forum for Idaho fisherman/bodies of water! I just moved to Boise and have been getting out fishing every weekend around the treasure valley and I love it! cant wait to go out to those big reservoirs throughout the state. Let us know how your fishing goes at Dworshak!
  23. I heard silent crank baits aren't actually silent, they are just silent to humans and not fish?
  24. Flaming Gorge Reservoir is a must in Utah! I lived a couple hours away for half of my life! it is unreal! Truly breathtaking!
  25. Yeah! I was so excited to go and catch fish when it got into the 60's, luckily I bought a small thermometer from Cabela's and the water temp was still 40-42 degrees! even though outside temp had been super nice for a week or two the water temp barely came up.
