  1. If anyone out there wants or needs a fishing partner hit me up. Or if anyone would be so kind to let me tag along haha, I have plenty of soft plastics I can share too. Anyway I am newer to the area and would love to get together and catch some mondos! I live in Boise, I'm down to go wherever. Pre Spawn any day now! Lets go!
  2. NICE!! I didn't have much luck this weekend for bass, caught trout though haha! water in the mid-high 40's still. It has been slowly warming up, I will hit up a lake this weekend nearby! water should be low 50's by then.
  3. Add a power spinner, maybe a Colorado on a worm for deep muddy water. Maybe even Carolina rig it with the bead/clacker with power spinner on your bait too. Might have to try this myself haha. Just an idea
  4. Awesome! I have a perch colored jointed rapala I have wanted to use for a while and wasn't exactly sure how to use it. Also have one of those giant bomber long A I will try as well. Thank you!
  5. WOW! That looks freakin amazing! I am actually more excited to catch Smallies then Largemouth this year! Any of you guys on here ever make a trip to come to the Snake River at all?! i am beyond excited to catch smallies out of there, i recently moved to Boise Idaho.
  6. I feel you! I think i have been out about 5 times this year and got skunked 4 times and got a couple bluegill the one time! No BASS this year still, but I knew that could be the case. Try going for other species like many others stated, trout in the winter is money! Also another thing i learned recently is watching the weather closely, like the air pressure, fish are more "active" during lower pressure days, like before a storm comes in.
  7. How did the day go?! Were they still deep? What was the water temp?
  8. Man you are right, always find some time, just being outside with the wildlife, the weather, the smells, the water is unlike anything else, it’s Therapeutic! enjoy it, soak it in, appreciate it. Keep fishing!
  9. I love using hair jigs, was wondering if people put trailers on especially with how small a 1/4 or 1/8 ounce one is. You just take a piece of a plastic worm? like two inches? what about a craw? i dont think i have any small enough.
  10. That is horrible, hate to see that! Start a fishing and clean-up club haha!
  11. Just saw that on that river there is a huge trash problem, like very dangerous, even a rail car was found??
  12. Yeah a lot of amazing fishing here! Not too far away, i go back to see my family all the time in Utah! We could all do a little meet up and fish some time this summer!
  13. I would be down to meet up and fish this summer, all my family lives in Davis County, i go back all the time!
  14. 3RD vote for Roland Martin's book! Great read for anyone into fishing!
  15. right there with you! The willingness to help new members/new fisherman is amazing! thank you! The amount of information on this site is more than enough, i have learned so much, i always recommend this site to fellow fisherman! Thank you everyone!
  16. After 5-6 weeks of beautiful weather in the Northwest/Idaho area we are back to snow and temps in the teens to low 40's. Snowed a bunch here, actually raining today. Saturday has a high of 41 degrees. Still thinking about going fishing, especially with the full moon tonight. Maybe hit the Snake river, local ponds. What about you guys in the Northwest?
  17. 1/0 OR 2/0, I use two O-rings that overlap each other, and where they cross (makes an X) place the hook underneath there and you don't even have to put the hook through the worm! Works great for me
  18. Can you fish off that oil tanker? probably way too high huh? haha
  19. Hello fellow Northwesterner!
  20. Another vote for Booyah Pad Crasher, they're cheap and a good product.

I heard that Red Craws are mostly a southern/eastern thing. Here in Idaho I know that there is one species that is not native that get red but they are not nearly as common as brown/green/darker colors. I have not tried red yet, but will give it a shot.
  22. Yeah Xcalibur did discontinue their products but I found a bunch at discount for $1-$2 each! they are awesome jerkbaits! Also I think Yo-Zuri is a very underrated brand, they make great jerkbaits and baits overall. Of course Lucky Craft are great but so many options below $15. I like Rapalas, Duo-Realis are little expensive. Yo-Zuri, try them out! haha
  23. Need a wacky rig tool with some O rings! =D
