  1. Welcome aboard, again! 8-)
  2. Although it's possible you have a defective lure, I suspect it's the line. I have been "collecting" these lures for a number of years and have never had a defective Lucky Craft. 8-)
  3. Lucky Craft "Chartreuse Shad" is basically the same and has been around for at least six years, probably longer. I have a couple of "true" Sexy Shad, but I don't really consider them special. Regarding "Baby Bass", that's my favorite color for hard baits! 8-)
  4. Surprise! Yep, I like Gamma, but the line seems overpriced to me. However, if you want to give it a try, BPS has it on sale: http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_73056____SearchResults?ordProd=Y&CMID=BOTTOM_selectitems#itemDetail 8-)
  5. Joking aside, it doesn't make any difference whether you retrieve left or right. I fish spinning tackle with left hand retrieve and baitcasters with right retrieve. Most reel models are offered these days with a choice. Choose whichever you like. 8-)
  6. WOW! Great way to start the year, congratulations! 8-)
  7. Skin mount or replica? 8-)
  8. Welcome back! 8-)
  9. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  10. C'mon.... You never had an answer, but now you have one. Don't agree? Fine, but you still have THE answer to your question and we have resolved the issue. Right-hand retrieve is "correct", "wrong-hand " is not. ;D ;D ;D
  11. Nothing to talk about if you want NYLON monofilament. If you want to try BETTER lines, fish copolymers: P-Line, Gamma and Yo-Zuri Hybrid are what I would suggest. 8-)
  12. Welcome aboard! 8-)

Lots of emotion surrounding all of this and plenty of blame to go around. Let's leave it here before we move any further down a slippery slope. Goodnight Irene -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator
  14. You guys are driving the rest of us crazy. Great fish!
  15. Hey! Don't you have work to do? Quit bothering our fish. We'll exercise them in a couple of weeks. Nice fish, GREAT pic! Do you think that fish was full of eggs already or fat from feeding? ;D ;D ;D
  16. Well, if I were fishing in Florida, I would take my cue from George Welcome. Visit his website and you'll see he only suggests a few lures/baits: Chug Bug, Rat-L-Trap, Senko, Swimsenko are the mainstay, but here's his list: Suggested Florida tackle (although not restricted to), would be: Various plastics in dark colors (Yamamoto Senkos in 5" are highly recommended) 4/0 Offset Worm Hook (We Prefer Gamakatsu) Small Barrel Swivels For Carolina Rigs (#10) Bullet Weights (3/8 Ounce Is Most Common For Carolina Rigs) Storm Rattlin' Chug Bug 3.5" 3/8oz (Chrome & Blue, And Your Other Favorite Colors) Any Of Your Favorite Top Water Lures Bill Lewis 1/2 Ounce Rat-L-Taps (Chrome Blue w/ Orange Belly, Craw Dad, And Fire Tiger) Buzz Baits (White, White And Chartreuse) Spinner Baits (Fire Tiger, White, etc:) (Terminator T1 3/8 oz With Thumper Blades work extremely well) Flukes (Watermelon, Salt And Pepper, ) (Zoom Salty Super Flukes work well) Line of choice: (17-20 pound test recommended) Hard Jerk Baits (Bomber Long A (B15A) 4 1/2" Shiner Pattern) http://www.imaginationbassin.com/ 8-)
  17. I agree, this feature is HUGE! 8-)
  18. Baitcasting: Power fishing Spinning: Finesse Form a practical standpoint, I fish hardbaits (jerkbaits, topwater, etc.) with baitcasting equipment; soft plastics and live bait with spinning tackle. I do have a preference for spinning tackle due to the inevitable surge at the boat and because I think line size and visibility are important when targeting smallmouth. 8-)

  20. I like the power hump. 8-)
  21. C'mon Catt, I want to hear the technical answer, too.
  22. Nope... We only have a few lures specifically named in FAQs that are off-limits. Run a search if you want to read more discussion on this lure. Goodnight Irene -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator
