Four Year Low For Oil
No. The current contract (January) expires today and February is $4-$5 higher. So, all things being equal, Monday's quotes will appear to spike. There seems to be some support at $35 and much more at $30.

Cabela's Customer Service is GREAT!
senile 1, You don't need to go too far to see a perfect example of successful tax exemption policy. That nearly worthless dirt just west of you would never attract a visitor without a Cabela's, Nebraska Furniture and a racetrack...Now there are about fifty business operating out in "no man's land". Regarding the topic, customer service: 10/10 I have nothing more to add. 8-)

Favorite topwater pattern
The color green in general, Baby Bass or Frog patterns in particular. It's hard for me to to comment on other colors. I own at least ten different colored Spooks for example, but except for pool testing when they were first purchased, nine have never been wet! :

K.I.S.S.
Well, I'm reluctant to disagree with the master, but I think ponds are a little different. My observation is that all bass, including the biggest bass in the pond, have to patrol the water. Although the majority of your catch may be associated with structure and/or cover, every inch of the pond has potential. 8-)

A question for police officers:
C'mon, what's more important, shuffling paper, babysitting brats or... delivering my Christmas presents?

A question for police officers:
I just picked this off the internet, but starting around $40k is fairly representative: http://www.talgov.com/hr/police-fire.cfm As far as firefights go, that is always a very real possibility and officers must be on high alert in a variety of situations. However, it's not like you see on TV. My cousin is a Detective (20+ years) with Arapahoe County, CO and has never fired a shot at a perp or in defense. Surprisingly, that is more common than you might think. 8-)

Well its here chronarch d
Bantam1, The guys on this thread are all big fans. I hope you don't take offense. So far, I don't think anyone who has posted actually "needs" a new reel, but for some reason seem to buy them anyhow and all the time! We don't need a "good reason", just any excuse to get a new one. The new Chronarch is just hard to justify even for Shimano fanatics, but I'm sure we will continue to think about getting one, "just because." 8-)

I have one and would describe the color in a complimentary way as "pearl".

Two Recipies for RobbyZ5001
Chili 1 lb ground beef 1 lb ground pork, sausage or chorizo 1 medium Spanish onion (yellow onion) Brown these ingredients, drain grease. Add one can of beef broth and add 2 packages of Williams Chili Mix. Stir to coat the meat. 1 large can of peeled tomatoes, whole, sliced or diced 1 whole garlic clove, diced or crushed 1 can Campbell's Beefy Mushroom Soup 4 tbls cilantro 1 cup yellow cornmeal 2 tbls sugar Salt & pepper to taste Boil on low for an hour, stirring occasionally Add 1 can of red beans and 1 can of kidney beans Simmer for thirty minutes, adding water or broth if needed. You determine the consistency. Remove from heat and let it sit, covered, for at least an hour, but overnight is better. Reheat on low, stirring occasionally To serve, I like grated sharp cheddar cheese and sour cream on top, dill pickles and crackers on the side. For heat, pickled sliced jalapenos (seeds removed) and Tabasco Sauce. Unless you are cooking for yourself, don't add the heat to the mix, allow everyone to tweak their own. Good luck! -Kent

Well its here chronarch d
Quote: "for anyone else that is looking for a reel at this pricing point, it's a no brainer." I don't know about that one... I would buy another Curado E over the new chronarch. The "no brainer" I was talking about is to buy the CH50MG, not the new Chronarch. 8-)

Well its here chronarch d
I know Keith, but for anyone else that is looking for a reel at this pricing point, it's a no brainer. Otherwise I agree: Why offer a retread at a higher price without pizazz? I'm thinking, buy the CH50MG on sale or step up to the Core. 8-)

Swimbait?
Probably, but I hope someone else that actually owns that rod will chime in. Initially I was using a MBR844C, but I found that my St. Croix EC70MHF actually loads up better. My observation is that the rod is not stressed at all. 8-)

Swimbait?
Before making a commitment to the new rod & reel you need for the bigger baits, try the Mattlures Baby Bass. This lure weighs 1.3 oz, but can be fished on a MH or H rod rated up to 1 oz. Trust me, it won't break your rod. I have had good success with the Baby Bass fishing over structure in open water. Although I have caught a few bass 3-5 lbs, the majority have been 6-8. My biggest bass approached 10, but since I did not have a scale to weigh her, I will not claim a double digit. 8-)

Your favorite Jerkbait???
I see no reason to change the VMC hooks on either of these lures.
