  1. I have only used them for a few hours last weekend and then as a jig trailer. As a trailer I would rate them a Dead Solid Ten!
  2. Welcome aboard! It's not "what" you are fishing, but "where" you fish. I suggest focusing on structure in a little deeper water. The obvious place to start would be points. If you know of places where the lake is shallow, then drops into deeper water, fish along the drop. Boulders, ridges, humps and pools are all examples of "structure." Try focusing there.
  3. Woo-Hoo! Got the perfect answer. My main pond was infested with spiro gyra late last spring. I started fishing a GYCB Kreature like a swimmming jig or spinnerbait. Man, this is THE BOMB! http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1180909581
  4. Welcome aboard! I'm Mr. Yo-Zuri Ultra Soft.
  5. I bought mine at Tackle warehouse, but after checking their website, it's no longer avaiable.
  6. Thanks! Great piece. That is exactly what I was looking for. BTW, Where has earthworm77 been? I haven't seen him post here in months.
  7. The GYCB Kreature has been a killer for me. As a trailer, the Flappin' Hog is VERY similar, but bigger. I have also had some success with the Reaction Innovations Double-Wide Beaver which is a HUGE presentation. When it gets colder I might go back to GYCB Fat Baby Craws, but they are retired for now!
  8. The Natural sent me a bag and I fished them last weekend as a trailer on a 1/2 oz Micro Munch jig. I caught five bass. I would rate them a "Dead Solid Ten."
  9. Yep, it's a GREAT time to be a sports fanatic in Boston, no doubt! You guys definitely "got it going on."
  10. Get bibs, NOT pants. Bibs prevent water from dripping down your backside!
  11. Thanks RW . The problem for us in Cyprus ordering rods from US is the shipping cost. We have to pay in addition to the purchase price approx 30% shipping and 18.7% import tax hence my limited budget in the poll selection. WOW! Gotcha, that changes the whole equation.
  12. Cabelas Guide Wear: http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/common/search/search-results1.jsp?QueryText=guide+wear&N=4887&Ntk=Products&Ntx=mode+matchall&Nty=1&Ntt=guide+wear&noImage=0 And it's ON SALE! BTW, I have the uninsulated bibs and jacket (that's what I'm wearing in my avatar). With LJs, they are comfortable in a range of about 30-65 degrees. If it's colder, I wear an additional coat. In this part of the country, I would NOT get the insulated option.
  13. It's a Baby Piglet... When it grows arms, legs and antennas it becomes a Flappin' Hog! http://***/cgi-bin/order/FH-07 8-)
  14. It's October in the rest of the country (world?). When did the New Year start in Texas?
  15. Nope, not for me. I have not had success with any other presentation. Perhaps these blades do not appear realistic enough when they "swim."
  16. After watching Randall's video, I'm going to try a couple of trick worms at a pond this weekend. So, a couple of questions: 1. What size do you prefer? 2. How do you rig it and what weights do you recommend? 3. What are some of the ways you "fish it?" Any other comments?
  17. I recently changed from #12 Yo-Zuri Hybrid to #15, but both work just fine.
  18. It took some magic for both teams to get to the World Series. If Denver can win one in Boston and two at home, the series goes seven games. I don't hear the Fat Girl singing.
  19. 13-1 Pretty hard to sugarcoat that one!
  20. It should give the lure a little more action, which is what I assume you are looking for.
  21. Put a split ring on them, it's no big deal.
  22. Norman Fat Boy, Bomber Square A, Mann's 1-Minus, Bagley B2
  23. I fish year around. At least a few hours every week at local ponds, four or five "big trips" during the year and most Saturdays on the Tennessee River. On average, probably 40 hours of some type of fishing every month.
  24. If the water you plan to fish is <10' deep, try a Fat Ika and 5" Senko, weightless and weedless to get started. I think you'll catch a few fish on the bottom. 8-)
