Berkley Vanish and a good drag setting
I fished the original formula, but will never try the "New" Vanish, regardless of how well it works for anyone else. Burn me once, shame on you. Burn me twice, shame on me.

GYCB Kut Tail Worm ?
I fish the 6 1/2" Kut-Tail, T-rigged with a bead, unpegged. This bait is my favorite worm in deeper water, especially on vertical structure (docks and timber). I have had some success with the bait weightless in grass, too.

Need Some Help Fishing Rocky Bottoms
The majority of my fishing, whether from a boat or from the bank, involves rocks. My main water, the Tennessee River, was created with the "rocks from hell." Although I get hung-up on a regular basis, I only lose a few soft plastics (circle hooks and live bait is another story). Anyhow, my suggestion is a 4/0 EWG Gamakatsu Offset Worm Hook rigged weightless and weedless (Tex-posed and skin hooked). This rigging will NOT impede your hook-up, but will eliminate a large portion of hang-ups. When you do get hung, most of the time you can free your bait by getting on the other side of the rock.

I think my Senko addiction is cured
Well, I have been fishing a lot of different stuff this year, too. Most of it has worked out pretty well, but I think I'll still keep a few soft plastics around. Every now and then I get the bug to quit playing around a have a big day. Surprisingly, those ole 6" Senkos and Fat Ika still work!

Thanks to all
Welcome aboard!

D'oh!! Fellow St. Croix Rod Users...HELP!!!
Quit worrying and just give them a call. I'm sure everything will work out just fine. BTW, That's my soft plastics combination, too! 8-)

Where to buy Hybrid line?
You don't have to buy this much. Cabela's also sells regular refill spools (330 yards/ 600 yards).

senko vs. fat ika?
This suggestion is for ALL new lures/ baits: A true test, a better test, of a new bait or technique is "when the bite is hot." If things are slow, you don't know if it's the fish, where your're fishing or what's up. Try a new approach when everything is ALREADY working!

Bought Fat Ika
Nothing to add, Good Luck! 8-)

BassResource Road Trip Location??
I was all jazzed about Guntersville, but after EXTENSIVE research, I cannot find any bass boat rental. If you know of a source that I could not find, please send me a PM.

Single, old, and need some pick up lines, lol.
Well, I've been married too long to actually "pick 'em up," but here's an easy way to meet some women: There is a really hot, upscale bar/ restaurant (Yia-Yia's) that gets jammed after work. You get there early enough to get a table (bar area) in the middle of the action. When a group of gals that you might be interested in come by, tell them you're leaving soon and ask them to join you, in effect offering "your" table to the girls. This usally leads to some casual talk and I generally mention that I had the table reserved for Shania, Faith, Michelle Pfeiffer and Terri Clark which lightens up the conversation. If you decide to stay, buy a round of drinks which guarantees you a little more time.

Flouro or YZ Hybrid
I think you would be very happy with Yo-Zuri Hybrid #12 (19.5 lb test).

Gettin hung with a rattletrap
+1 8-) As a comparable alternative, spinnerbaits get through timber more easily and when they do hang up, they are relatively easy to retrieve.

Get your cheap gas while you can!
I hope it turns a little north. We need a powerful hurricane to bring some moisture to the Mid South. Bring it on!

Where to buy Hybrid line?
I prefer Ultra Soft overall. I have been fishing a couple of rods with original formula Hybrid just because BPS had 1000 yard spools on sale for $6.88 and I bought a few! On baitcasters, both work fine- nominal memory is not an issue. On spinning tackle I have a strong preference for Ultra Soft.

Where to buy Hybrid line?
Lots of retailers carry original formula Hybrid, but Hybrid Ultra Soft is a little harder to find. Cabela's and some Wal-Marts carry Ultra Soft, BPS does not.
