You need to get out a little more, Pickwick is just south of you, not "International". So, tell us where you are putting in. The lake fishes differently closer to Wilson Dam vs. Pickwick Dam. I fish the entire lake and will be glad to give you some advice.

Okay, mine are all older without split grips. On the St. Croix side I have upgrade over the years to the older Legend Elite, but my recollection of the Avids I owned were on par with the G. Loomis IMX.

Well, you might consider buying a spinning reel vs. your spincast. I think you will find this is something you will wish you had done years ago. .
