  1. MegaStrike ShakE2 Pro Series http://www.megastrike.com/#!products/vstc2=shake2-heads Siebert Outdoors Supreme and Zenith http://www.siebertoutdoors.com/Shaky-Heads-and-Weighted-Hooks_c15.htm Trailers: GYCB Kut Tail and MegaStrike MegaTube http://www.megastrikefishingproducts.com/shop/mega-tube-soft-plastic/
  2. 00 Mod suggests this: Spool up some cheap line and attach a 1/2 ounce weight. Cast it in field as far as you can. Now release the spool, grab your line at the rod tip and walk it to where the weight landed. Pick up the weight and line, walk back to your rod and cut the line. Attach your good line and fill the spool. Now you have two casting distances of good line. If you want to be extra frugal, when the spool is down more than you like, walk it off and cut the line again. Replace or add to the filler, retie and reel up your good line. Now you are probably at two casts minus 20 yards, but the spool is full.
  3. Besides a large dose of natural talent and drive, it takes a lot of money. Beyond the equipment that may be partially subsidized, you need a very flexible job (time) and the means to pay expenses.
  4. One of our sponsors comes HIGHLY recommended: http://www.delawarevalleytackle.com/
  5. It's been two years and we are TOTALLY committed. What Missouri really brings to the table is a traditionally strong basketball program (not so much this year). Other than the Wildcats, the SEC has not been that strong in b-ball.
  6. Geez... Go back to sleep Irene...
  7. The Curado Curado 200G holds around 120 yards of #50 braid. Start with about 40 yards or 1/3 of the spool mono. Fill to capacity with your braid, the back off 5 yards or so. Tie your fluorocarbon leader and reel down so that the knot is just above the first guide and over the tip 8" or so. The leader will probably last a trip or two before needing replacement. Braid does not need to be replaced unless you knick the line.
  8. Well, I guess you can take this back to the beginning if you like, but for the last decade or so, it's pretty lopsided if we just consider National Champions. http://www.collegefootballpoll.com/champions_national.html
  9. That goes for both games.
  10. Really? The SEC finished the season with three in the Top 5; 4 of the Top 10 and 7 in the Top 25. Tennessee, Vandy and Arkansas have been struggling in recent years, but have had their moments.
  11. If you are looking for an all-purpose rod consider the Pinnacle Perfecta DHC5-701CAMH http://www.pinnaclefishing.com/shop/p-87-perfecta-dhc5.aspx#page=page-1
  12. Hmm... Why not kick it up a notch, you can always go back. Some kids can pick it up quickly. Get her a GREAT rod, too.
  13. White, chartreuse and white & chartreuse. I use Lumaflex exclusively: http://store.jobabylures.com/merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=J&Category_Code=SKL
  14. P-Line and Yo-Zuri Hybrid seem to be most popular with the BR membership.
  15. Sunline Super Natural #12. Great line and inexpensive, sometimes on sale 2 for 1. Otherwise, 330 yards for $10 msrp.
  16. Apparently there has been so much waterflow the cold weather either did not result in a major shad kill or they were washed down stream. Friends of mine fished Saturday below the dam and slayed 'em! Best five were over 20lbs, including personal bests by both fishermen (5lbs & 5.5lbs).
  17. I had this discussion with Big O several years ago during a BR Roadtrip on Kentucky Lake. The takeaway was this: Even when fishing is good, the "right" color can make it better. Although I think action and profile trump color, we all know that sometimes color is critical.
  18. Long before Bobby became a BassResource.com sponsor I was a HUGE fan of MegaStrike. Give it a try and see what you think: http://www.megastrike.com/
  19. I like both a bluegill pattern and shad. Rage Tail Menace and Shellcraker are my main trailers. The set-up is Loomis MBR842C/ Core 50MG/ Tatsu #12. I generally fish the swim jig with a steady retrieve over structure or next to cover. As AMAC stated, let it drop on slack line when you hit something. Strikes are generally vicious!
  20. Well, shoot! Had an opportunity to make it a blow-out. Great defensive play by the Chargers to stay in the game. Denver dominates, but it's only 14-0. I don't think the Patriots are shaking in their boots. Next week will be a knock-out, drag-out!
  21. Dallas comes to mind or maybe Kansas City blowing a 28 point lead!
  22. I am using #6 on spinning tackle without ANY issues. I don't think you are going to like #12, but you will love it on a baitcaster!
