  1. I fish the 7" Senko and began experimenting with it several years ago when it was first introduced. My objective was to discourage smaller fish, and it worked. However, the 7" Senko is too heavy to fish on my favorite soft plastic rig: 7' MF spinning tackle. I still fish the 7" version on a baitcaster occasionally, but I think the 6" variety is just as effective for bigger fish and fewer dinks. Another couple of suggestions: Rage Tail 10" Anaconda Rage Tail 10" Thumper 8-)

  3. Great fish for your birthday! It was nice meeting you and the day was fun. Hope to see you next May at Pickwick. -Kent

  5. GYCB Swim Senkos. http://www.insideline.net/articles/swim_senko.html 8-)
  6. Rod & reel would be another thread in a different section. The general answer is a combo, on sale, from one of the major retailers. I think most "in-house" rods matched with a Symetre spinning reel or Citica baitcasting reel is fine. That should be around $150.
  7. Maybe, but now it's all about Vince Young. 8-)
  8. Well, since Gisele is the Queen and Tom the King, they decide where it should be. It's good to be King!
  9. Keith is the manager of the Fishing Department.

  14. There is no section. They are no longer a sponsor.
  15. Does that mean a steady retrieve just off the bottom?
  16. Well, I have a few Shimano reels, including the Core, Calais, Metanium, Chronarch, CTE200GT, Scorpion and CH50MG. Of all the reels I own, regardless of price, I would recommend the new Curado 200E7. You really don't need to spend any more money for a great reel! 8-)

  18. If your life depended on catching a fish: original Rapala Not life threatening, but you need to catch a fish: 5" Senko or Fat Ika If you just want one big fish: jig & pig or big worm (like a 10" Anaconda) 8-)
  19. The difference is subtle and you pay quite a lot for that extra .05, but if you have the wallet, get the GLX. I have purchased a few this year from members on our Flea Market for around $250 delivered. Steezy and Bronzefly have some GLX offered at $240, but not your models. Be patient, the MBR 843 and 844 are very popular and will show up for sale. 8-)
  20. Talk with Keith or Neal Coleman at BPS. Reference me if you like (Kent Smith). They can give you several suggestions, there are many to consider. 8-)
  21. Throw meat in the shark tank and it's GONE! It was a pleasure fishing with .ghoti. I look forward to our next trip! Life long friends, for sure! 8-)
  22. Yea, I know, let the fish tell you... I fish "big" all the time, all seasons, finesse and power fishing. Not quite like the big swimbait guys, but comparable on "normal" baits. What about you? 8-)
  23. Structure in current; the front of islands in a river; drops and pools; isolated humps, boulders or rock piles and any type of isolated cover surrounded by deep water. 8-)
  24. Glenn claims tournament fishing originated in the state of Washington. Maybe he will see this and comment. 8-)
