  1. Geez....I guess I'll be tossin' my Ambassadeurs since they were made in Sweden. I don't think so. Abu Garcia promotes Swedish design, but they no longer manufacture components nor assemble the reels there.
  2. A newbie posting links to other fishing forums is considered rude. On this website ten posts are required before links or pictures can be posted. The purpose is to reduce spam, like guys coming here to post the link to another site. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator p.s. Most of the smallmouth guys here know about RiverSmallies and some of us are members over there, too.
  3. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  4. X2 For a custom jig at a good price, check our GMAN jigs. If he doesn't have what you on his website, he will custom build them for you. 8-)
  5. Senkos weightless, big worms T-rig, smaller worms split shot and most soft plastics occasionally on an Evolution Shake2 jig head. 8-)
  6. One of my best was caught on a full size Spook. ;D ;D 8-) ;D ;D

Well, my preseason prediction was 6-10, so there's no downside! The Broncos were the biggest NFL surprise in the early going, reality has set in. Even if they slip into the play-offs, they don't have the horsepower to compete with the elite teams. Denver's roster is mostly new, from the head coach down. Still, we don't miss Cutler! 8-)
  11. Although I don't have that particular rod, I think you will REALLY like the Techna AV series. I would compare them favorably to St. Croix Avids. 8-)
  12. Try a few and you will find a brand you like. My preference is #6 Yo-Zuri Hybrid or Hybrid Ultra Soft for spinning tackle, #12 for baitcasting. Other popular brands are Trilene XL for spinning gear and Trilene XT or Big Game for baitcasters. P-Line is very popular, too. 8-)
  13. The middle of November and still catching a few. Congratulations! 8-)
  14. It's always great to catch a few! 8-)
  15. Great post, great pics and some fine fish! 8-)
  16. 6 1/2' or 7' Spinning rod, Medium Power/ Fast Action. The same rod I recommend for other soft plastics. 8-)
  17. I used this recipe last year. This was best tasting and prettiest presentation I have ever seen and eaten: http://www.marthastewart.com/recipe/marthas-ultimate-thanksgiving-menu-roasted-brined-turkey Note: Make the stuffing, too! 8-)
  18. Please read through this thread and the referenced links: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1121527643 Thanks! -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator
  19. I experiment with lots of different lines. My last "failure" was #6 Seaguar AbrazX 100%. Currently have two baitcasters spooled up with PP 50/12 (I still hate braid!). So, try Yo-Zuri for yourself and see if you like the line. The cost is nominal and you'll know right away if this is right for you. 8-)

  21. Didn't see the game, but just read a review. No matter how you spin it, five interceptions is hard to overcome. :-X
  22. My lack of photographic skills just don't do justice to that fish... 5 1/2 lbs weighed on scales. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
