Had boat out for close to 40th time yesterday.Was putting transom saver back on when I noticed there were about 4 little pits on front of lower unit.Rubber on transom saver worn and bolt was hitting L.U.Not the best quality or design.Already bought west marine transom saver that jaime has,way better quality.Just thought I would pass that along.

How much were the new hubcaps,I need a pair.Well my dad wants a new set, them old guys sure seem to like those moon hubcaps.

Found exact replacement's on optronics website,I think they are STL 36/37.

Did they look at your outboard yet?

probably a dumb question,are you pulling on cord coming out of ratchet stap while tightening.my cover is doing good,lettering is cracking already and does'nt bead water so good anymore but just ordered a gallon of starbrite waterproofer.It's like $25 a 22oz. bottle or $50 a gallon at bps,but found a gallon on walmart.com for $41.

Mounted mine a little right of center,and I pretty much always fish from port side.Console is in the way when fishing from other side,especiallly when doing any skipping.Also being right handed just works better,I use left handed reels,cant figure out why right handed people reel with right hand.To me its like being RH but batting left or shooting left.Seems like your dominant hand should control the rod.Just a thought.Fishing is really tough here right now.

Mounted my minnkota on left side of batteries with large screws.took boat out for 36th time yesterday and I have never had an issue.I also come home, put cover on and plug my charger in also without issue.I just make sure it's aired out after refueling,then cover,then plug in charger.The charger works great.Did break 2nd pull cord for trolling motor yesterday,was going to order THmarine one with cable but it says not recommended for MK edge.Guess Ill try spectra this time.Do have small spot in turning radius of trolling motor where it shuts off,or if you're in that spot it wont turn on,can't figure it out.loose wire I guess.

I have a garmin with quickdraw mapping,just wondering if anyone knows what blue and white shading on map is.Was thinking it might be bottom hardness?

Im sure it will get to 6000 with motor down, just don't like to push it that far.

Mine will go to 6000,but i like to run mine around 5400,What i have been doing is getting it up to 5000-5200,then trim it up and the rpm's go to 5400-5500 and that gives me a speed of 29-30 mph.Plenty fast.

Anyone change lower unit lube yet.pumped lube from bottom hole till it came out top like youre supposed to,put plugs back in but only about 6oz out of bottle.book says 14.9 fl.oz.??????????

I was talking about bolt through the transom that holds motor on.Just noticed mine was different.

bolt for motor in pic looks to have 2 washers,a big and small.Mine only has smaller washer on upper bolts?

Taillight works,just bad connection in plug.Saved me $35.

Anyone have issues putting on new transducer,seem's like holes on boat are to low.Putting a garmin striker 7sv on.Don't want to drill anymore holes in transom.guess i'll have to put a block on,also have to patch big hole on dash where they mounted old fish finder.Instructions don't say how far below bottom of boat transducer should be

Just picked up boat,has a brand new lower unit.Took it in last tuesday,so amazingly fast service by mercury and especially my local marine shop.Can't wait to get back on the water.

You're transom saver is upside down,holes for bungy cord should be down.

Lower unit had gear with broken tooth.Mercury decided to replace entire gearcase.Should be here and installed by mid to late next week.Took it in tuesday,so pretty impressed with the speed of warranty service.Can't wait to get back on water.

Have always gotten a small sqeaul pulling it back from cruising speed.This was loud clank noise,same one I had heard when my brothers 9.9 had lower unit going bad.mine leaked water into gearcase,waiting for them to tear apart and send pictures to mercury.They want to know how water got in there.I know it was not my fault, I treat motor like a baby.
