  1. Was getting noise from lower unit last time I was out.Took it in today, had water in gear lube and chunks of metal.Just waiting to see if mercury is going to replace with new one or make them tear it apart.I have never touched lower unit on anything and just had 20 hr. service done.Just bad luck I guess.Good news is my fuel pump has blue dot so it does not need replaced.Back to fishing from shore for a while.
  2. The fuel pump diaphragm polyester layer was not properly bonded to the rubbers layers during the manufacture process on some fuel pumps and fuel pump may have to be replaced.Already made appointment but have to wait two weeks for part.was also informed that you must have it done or it will void warranty.
  3. Graphics on boat are not black and orange.Go back a few pages or so and look at the ones on seriousblack's boat. Those are the ones you want, they are pre spaced, you just peel the back put on boat and peel clear off front. They are quality decals.Just look on discontinueddecals.com,2 color boat registration numbers in deep mahogany and pumpkin orange.I honestly think you cannot find a better match.
  4. discontinueddecals.com,mine look awesome. You won't be sorry, went with deep mahogany and pumpkin orange and they match perfectly.
  5. Do you happen to know part or item number for hubcaps.Nearest bps probably 500 miles away, none in oregon, never even laid eyes on one.
  6. Thinking about getting a garmin with sidevu, just wondering how well the sidevu works if you mount transducer on transom. My lake is not on any lake maps so i want quickdraw mapping, but don't want mapping limited to when im only fishing, if it were on trolling motor.
  7. Still have not recieved gift card. How did you guys get yours?Had boat out for 9th trip yesterday,I don't see fuel tank size being a problem.Usually out 10-12 hours running from spot to spot to fish, and have never used more than 1/2 tank.I would say 2 gallons per hour at cruising speed is about right. You guy's probably fish bigger lakes than me.Trolling motor battery has never showed signs of even getting low,i don't keep it on constant, but use it all day.I don't run outboard over 5600 rpm, don't know what max is.Caught 8 fish last time, nothing under 2lbs.They are finally making they're move here.
  8. Im pretty sure they are nyloc nuts.I load mine by hand, most boat ramps around here dont allow power loading. My thoughts are the squeal has to do with the prop design, the in/out play.If you pull throttle back really slow it does not do it.
  9. I sometimes get a squeal when throttling down from cruising speed, only happens sometimes has done it since beginning and have had it out 7 times now.
  10. Bought a 25ft tarp so I have whole boat and motor covered. Also have motor cover.
  11. Took mine out for 5th trip a couple days ago.Launched boat and was sitting warming it up and noticed my hubcap floating upside down on edge of boat ramp, was able to jump out and grab it though.First problem with a hubcap.Never had a problem with straps, but I've got them so tight you can hardly snap them over. Finally figured out to pull on strap to pop them loose, after some hurt cold fingers.Everything has been great with boat,it's perfect for dad ,son, and me,can't say enough how much I love it.Hardest thing for me is remembering to pull up trolling motor when I take off.Took until 3 o'clock to catch only fish last time,so my streak of not getting skunked continues. Also seems my gas consumption is getting better.Have my boat outside, cover on and tarp over the whole thing, because it seems to rain every d**n day here.
  12. I bought low freeboard fenders. They work great.
  13. Just got mine yesterday about a close of match as your gonna find I think they are going to look awesome. Thanks for the heads up on website.Could not be more pleased.
  14. I just keep a 1 gal can for emergency in between transom and fuel tank.
  15. Anyone have a good trick for getting rid of water spots. They don't seem to wash off.
  16. I used charger twice, works great.Went fishing all day yesterday,at least 8 hours on trolling motor(not steady of course)plugged it in last night, cranking takes about 5 min to charge and trolling is done by morning. That works perfect for me.I think I got a lucky boat, caught at fish every time Ive been.Did not take any poles during break-in,pulled boat out water and had a catfish in spare tire.
  17. Paid title and reg. when i bought boat.Just got reg. sticker with my numbers yesterday. That is why I've been waiting to order my reg.number decals from discontinueddecals.com.Must have numbers before you can order.
  18. I just ordered mine last night, they emailed me a while ago with they're color chart, best match I could come up with was deep mahogany and pumpkin orange.my order shipped this morning,so the shipping is fast.Hope this helps cause I've been struggling on which colors matched best.Pictures of boats make it look black and orange but is actually brown and orange.Tried to have them match with bass tracker target decal they have but those colors are black and tomato red,not the same.
  19. Iam too looking to get taller pole and butt seat.I set mine in drivers seat while fishing, cannot sit and fish,I guess we all can't be like bill dance.
  20. Just got back from marine shop they pulled prop off and checked everything.Said play is normal and so is rub and wear mark.Better to be safe than sorry I guess.
  21. Noticed prop rub's in one spot when you turn it and there is a wear mark.Taking it in first thing in morning.Hope fully it's just prop or something simple.I have never hit anything,in fact only thing lower unit has come in contact with is water and transom saver.
  22. Just noticed my prop has a little play, wondering if thats normal and if one of u guys who has boat already could check yours and let me know.not up and down but in/out play, like nut not tightened enough.
  23. probably not the best plan, especially if it's 2wd.May be able to tow it but up and down ramp could be tricky.I have a 98 mazda 5speed 2wd and a heritage and would not even try it.
  24. Just upgraded from a 12 foot sea nymph, fished from it for years with three guys, motor and all our gear.Very stable boat especially with some weight in it.on many occasions had it loaded with around 400 pounds of cockles and two people with no problems.
