  1. Made in america is great id rather spend 150 on redwings that can be re-soled for about 8 yrs then spend 50 a yr on boots that last a yri
  2. Im a diehard abu fan i own 60+ i also own shimano daiwia quatum bps rapala reels .i never had any pribs with anything i own.and use them all saltwater and fresh. As long as we know how to tie a great knot .thats all that matters .enough said
  3. Older baitcasters from the big 3 ..some are japan made high quality also .ardent used to make them here and i have quite a few plfeugers made in usa that still work perfect .(knuckle busters)
  4. I dont care what pros use ..all i know is i use both spinning and casting and proficiate with both and each has a time and place .i see many ppl say they dont use spinning anymoore like they are trying to set a status symbol to other anglers .all i care about is catchin fish .not about impressing others.fish on dudes. Btw spinnings reels have stronger drags then baitcasters some 4000 size ones have 40 lbs of drag .
  5. Thick line = abrasion resistance.... has nothing to do with fish size. And sharp teeth
  6. Black 6 inch lizarrd can be modified a lot of ways top too bottom
  7. A c4 4600 on a 6'6" lightning shock is my froggin/heavy cover rod ,,has 15lb yo zuri with no probs
  8. I open mine up and saturate mine with rem oil.let um sit for a while then wipe down any that leaks out.it may be over kill but mine do double duty with saltwater .and make sure you grease the spool shaft and a light oil on bail and roller.
  9. Try a c3 in 4600 size all i use for crankin 5.1 ratio
  10. Pointlookout down my way is giving me up some rock.i use spooks on top with a moving tide and squid
  11. Id rather have a paddle yak i can put it in anywhere .im about versitility not luxuries

  17. Depends what the fish want i seen um just want it twitched to really fast or used like a popper
  18. Yourcorrect about iar easier/cheaper to replace the dog then a new side cover .in reality iar is over hyped .i only see a need for it when using jigs and t rigged worms ..imo
  19. Sharp hooks ,,,and as long as you dont highstick the rod youll be fine and set your drag
  20. No the iar is built into the newer models side plate .there may be a extra dog you can put into it if it has a post for it.but unlikely.it will serve you well as a catfish reel or a swimabait reel if you dont mind 11.oz
