  1. St. Croix Legend Tournament Bass Rods!!!!!!(All I fish)....I know a place in Minn. that you can pick one up brand new shipped for $180....no BS P.M. me ................BPs, Cabelas..etc all sell them for 220-280 depending on the rod you want....
  2. I live in Wisconsin...that being said we just had ice out a week ago....lakes are closed until mid may, but river fishing is open year round...I went out yesterday in thunderstorms and 50 deg weather to finally get my fishing fix....my god was i itching to go ....I caught a 4lb bass in the fist 10 min on a 1/2 oz jig with a paca chunck trailer...draging it VERY slowly on the bottom ....my buddy caught a 3lb small mouth with a jig and sweet bever trailer....then we switched up to shaky heads and caught a few more little guys....nothing on rattle traps or cranks....water temp was 47...All i can say is FISH SLOW......didnt get a chance to try any jerkbaits, but i am sure they would work also fished very slow.....
  3. St. Croix all the way.....the only rod i fish with....i have a bunch...... and all of them are my favorite!!!!!
  4. I thought shipping was free...I had to pay 12.95 >.....I bought 4 of them also ....good looking out on the deal ;D
  5. What are the gear ratio on these reels??? It dosent say on cabela.com?????
  6. Ranger 431......Sounds like the guy who gave you a hard time was a canidate for a stiff upper-cut and Tea Baggin... I agree with the statement about people letting their mouths over-load their ***** these days..... It is because they dont know what its like to get their ***** kicked for talking that bs.....kids need to be spanked...and teens need a good beat down to know their place......JMO
  7. I just joined a club in South East wisconsin.....its called bass assassians...I think they are looking for 2 more members..their web site is www. bassassasians.org everything you need to know is on this page.....first tournament is on Buffalo lake near the Wis. Dells april 21st....

  10. St. Croix Legend Tournament "Drop Shot"Spinning 6'9MLXF..w Pfluger President
  11. thanks bushwacker....anyone else want to chime in????
  12. I like the lure... ...N. Pike Love these things....I live in wisconsin so when throwing a large swim-bait your just asking for a Pike or musky to come up and destroy your baits with their big *** teeth...or just bite you off.......and they always do.....as well as larger spinner-baits and cranks.....I usually have to fish with a leader on most lakes if I want to keep my lures for more then a few casts........
  13. That rod is one of the blue "Legend Tournament Bass" series rods.......I was looking for a rod to use for C-riging.... Flipping.... and...... Pitching...just wanted to know if anyone has this rod and what they think of it and its uses...or if someone else had a rod in mind for the uses i stated....I Love St. croix rods...but i would be willing to try something new...thanks charles

  16. 7' MM St Croix "Small Cranker" Legend Bass Tournament rod...for small cranks 7' MH St Croix "Big Cranker "Legend Bass Tournament rod....for big deep cranks Pfluger Supreme's on both Bill Lewis Rattle traps...Baby-1's...Manns 20+....Rapala DT4,6,10,16's....Rebel Craws(all sizes)
  17. I thought it was a Lucky craft LV-Max 500....but i have never seen a red-eye shad you guys speak of
  18. They have a rod just for jerk-baits...its the st. croix legend bass tournament TBC66MF...its 6'6 med power fast action 10-17 lb test, 1/4 to 5/8 oz lures...I just got that rod also.... GOd I cant wait any longer.....I am waiting for the ice to go out to try for some pre-spawn slow jerking with this one in one of our rivers that are open all year for sport fish here in wisconsin......the rod i am talking about is a casting rod...but I bet the 6.3 shakin rod would work fine also....its the same med power the action is a tad faster but I dont see why it wouldnt work..... if you like using spinning reels better.....when i hold them and give them the old test shake they feel like they are pretty close in stiffness....I am sure the 6'6 would cast further tho....Geeze you would think i work for St. croix...lol....
  19. I have both the 6'8 "Finesse" and the 6'9 "drop shot" st. croix legend tournament spinning rods....either one would work just fine for what you want...I have to add all I fish are st. crox rods...I love them...best rod for the money by far IMO......anyways I also was going to spend some time this summer perfecting this "shaky head" way to fish...I bought a st. croix legend tournament 6'3 "shakin" rod....its med power extra fast...everyone on here will tell you to get a longer rod...but I trust st. croix...they have never done me wrong ...so if this is the rod they make for shakin....thats the rod I will give a try...Have not had a chance to use it yet...but it sure feels good in my hand.....I also live in Wisconsin...Milwaukee here....are you in any Bass clubs or fish any tournaments????
