  5. +1 on the st. croix LT slop n frog...I picked one up when they were on sale for $150 bucks....best $150 ever spent on a rod!!!
  6. I use the p-line Halo and love it...it is one of the most abrasion resistant lines I have ever used....I use it for fluoro leaders with all my braid set-ups for jigs...and by itself for my shakey head and drop shot rigs....
  7. u can go on st. croixs website and they have a deal with ups or fed ex i cant remember....but anyway I think if you print the label off their account and its only $10 each way...so $20 total...check the web site under the warranty section...
  8. ghoti I was thinking I would try to use the rod I throw buzz baits with a st. croix tx legend "teaser" 7cmf....but just wanted to pick some peoples brains who throw these baits already...thanks for the reply

  12. Hello...looking for a boater for all of the BFL Great Lakes Div tournaments....I have a buddy who is supposed to be my boater... I spoke with him tonight and as of tonight he is not sure he will have the money to do so....I want to sign up and pay asap to lock in my spots...please let me know if anyone is out there in need of a co-angler....Thanks Charles

  14. I used P-line Halo last year on a few of my rods and have nothing but good thiings to say about the stuff....I also bought and used some BPS flor....it was just ok..kinda thick and stiffer compared to the halo
  15. I am trying to find 1988 Bass Masters Magazines...looking for articles Rick Clunn wrote that was ongoing for 3 or 4 parts in diff issues on his take on the seasonal movements of bass.....please help...Thanks
  16. I live and fish in Wisconsin...that $300 swim-bait wouldnt last 1hr before a big Pike or Musky got it....maybe if i lived in Cali
  17. I also am a northern fisherman, live in wisconsin....my guess is 4.5-5 lb range tops.....I just dont see that bass being as big as some have stated....but either way nice bass!!!

  19. I would have to agree with fishtank...that is the rod I use for dropshot..love it...and they should be on clearence to make way for the "new" ones like he said.....
  20. Sure...you can eat carp, suckers and sheepshead also...but i sure wouldnt.......
  21. get some Gulp 5in "sinking minnows" in green pumkin....rig.em wacky style.w/ a gammy finesse hook..great for pitching docs ...at least for me.....one of my go-to baits....the gulp does smell to high hell and will dry-out if you dont keep it in the water...I usually just putem back in the bag...or leave it hang over the side in the water when using a diff rod.....
  22. I bought the new p-line Halo...and love it so far.....I used Vanish last year and must say I liked it also...but the halo seems better in every way to me....very strong and it will not fall of my spinning reels and get all twisted like the vanish did.....
