  1. Good to know! What motor do you have on it?
  2. Lowe is all aluminum also, If not mistaken the Tracker has wood decks.
  3. I recommend a good Gun safety course first.

Who can forget this guy, he is not so bright. I remember him from the old BPS Forum days. I knew he was crooked.
  6. nice boat man! good luck with it!
  7. Get the biggest boat that will fit in the Van. Canoes are uncomfortable after a few hours of fishing, plus coordinating moves with 2 people can be a nightmare. With the boat (Jon or raider) you can at least stand up for a minute of two and stretch your legs. Having a back rest is a big plus. I have had all 3 of those boats. Just my .02
  8. In my opinion a 42 inch width should be the minimum. Stay within the weight capacity and you should be fine.
  9. Exactly what Ring fry said. It makes a world of difference.
  10. Nice work man, Very impressive.
  11. Man thanks for the reminder. That was a time period when wrestling was fun. Monday night both wrestlings were on, the wolfpac...... ;D
  12. Classic! "You like pie? You want to play with the Rocks strudel?"
  13. Kind of a loaded question if you ask me. Sitting for 7 months is not too big of a deal. The Red stabil is better than no stabil. Up here everything sits for longer than that Pressure washers, lawn mowers. A good mechanic look over (and approval) and a test drive should suffice. How old is the motor?
  14. Congrats man! Great boat! Parents like that are awesome.
  15. I was going to say $1500-$1800 if mint.
  16. Congrats on the new ride! Good luck with it!
  17. I put a 5hp on my 10 foot basshunter. It would get swamped over the front. I wouldn't put a 5hp on it. Even though nothing might happen, liability if God forbid something was to happen a Lawyer would eat you for breakfast.
  18. First ones always the tough one, especially for her! Better them than us! ;D I have 3 now myself, been there done that. Hope everything goes well man!
  19. Call here and ask for Barry. He is a trolling motor Guru. Tell him your from VA and he will help you out over the phone. If there is something wrong with a TM he has seen it...guaranteed. (508) 616-7977
  20. I have both! While The raider might be a little more stable because of its design, the jon will last longer. The plastic just ends up cracking over time. After a long day on the water you will notice it is allot heavier to load back up. I have seen this on a few of them.
  21. Great little unit for the money. Another to consider is the Eagle Fishmark 320. At that price point those are 2 very good ones.
  22. Agree with the above, Do not use the clamps. I have done this, I know.
  23. Budget is whatever you can afford. They all work on the same principal. The more you pay, the better the picture and power. All depthfinders are going to require "Time in the seat" to learn how to use. There is no way around that if you really want that tool to be effective. Here is a link that will get you started on learning how they work. http://www.lowrance.com/en/Support/Tips-and-Tutorials/Sonar-Tutorial/ Even though its from Lowrance, they pretty much all work the same.
  24. I recommend at least 10 amps per side. I had a Guest dual bank charger 10 amp per side that was completely waterproof (I tested this for sure ;D) It stayed plugged in 24/7/365 when the boat was not on the water. When you spend that kind of money on one, all the manufacturers tend to be good.
