  1. I hear you on that...been there done that. But you really can not paddle a plastic basshunter boat. Thank goodness the reservoir was mostly 4 feet deep. ;D
  2. I think its a good deal! Boat and structural trailer, batteries and charger? I say go for it if it as advertised!
  3. You can try Cobbosee for pigs like that, or Umbagog has big ones in there too. Nice fish Husky!
  4. Try replacing the bulb and also check for fouled plugs. The plugs is what caused the same symptoms on my yamaha.
  5. So you put locktite on the thread and screwed it in and it still came loose and fell out? Is the screw semi-tight when srewing it in?
  6. It all depends on load and weight distribution. I would say fairly loaded with no trolling motor or gas motor around 6-8 inches (rough estimate)
  7. Im running Vista too. No issues whatsoever. I do use Firefox though...And IE when Firefox does not want to play nice on some sites.
  8. Is it possible to take a picture of the motor?
  9. I agree! Definitely get the breaker if you can!
  10. Buy a second battery! Solar panels will not charge your battery usefully if depleted.
  11. I have a 30amp fuse for my 46 pound Motorguide, running front of the boat to back. Read this, Hopefully this helps you out. http://www.minnkotamotors.com/support/faq.asp?pg=general&lp=gb&pt=6
  12. Your batteries will only last a day or so before they need charging if that is your only means of power. Get a dual 10 amp charger and plug it in every night when you are done fishing. What other things do you have plugged into the aux battery? Do you even need the aux battery? A fishfinder will draw next to nothing.
  13. I have read that people use either rivnuts or isolator bolts when they cant get underneath. Look at isolator bolts at Basspro. Again, I have only read this so I do not speak from experience. Good luck!
  14. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  15. Same symptoms were happening to my 25hp 4 stroke yamaha. Luckily for me all it was were the spark plugs. It started fine, It idled fine, On wide open throttle it would just not go. Changed the spark plugs and she was back to normal.
  16. Yes, That is what I meant, refresh with lake water..Sorry! I totally understand about drilling the holes.
  17. Your best bet is to freeze a couple of small plastic water bottles and then recirculate the water a few times through out the day.
  18. Those baits are awesome! Great fish you caught!
  19. Are you keeping the lake a secret or will you let us know?
  20. ;D ;D ;D I agree!
  21. The reason I ask Is that I have never seen a 50 pound trolling motor that is 24 volt, usually they are 12. Anywho, Take a look at this PDF and see if your batteries are connected correctly: http://sites.mercurymarine.com/pls/portal/docs/PAGE/MOTORGUIDE/MOTORGUIDE%20SUPPORT/ONLINE_MANUALS/MANUAL_CONTENT/MM6900%20-%202004%20-%20OWNER'S%20MANUAL_0.PDF Good luck man.
  22. Is that a 12 volt trolling motor? How are the two trolling motor batteries connected to each other? Why are there 2 breakers? How is it all connected starting from the trolling motor?
  23. Both good options. The super saver in a huge cooler is what they use for all the car topper tourneys around here.
  24. Nothing really in freshwater, but in the brackish water, you might want to hose it off with freshwater after each use. How big is the motor? Can you put muffs on it and connect it to a hose to run it with freshwater?
