  1. I'm too from GA. and I totally agree with craigaria.Rattle traps are working great for me. Try a junebug trick worm (T-rig) when biting is slow, If the water you are fishing is not to clear, if it is try baby bass trick work or finesse worm. Welcome to Bass fishing!!!!!!!! You are about to see what spring fishing in GA. is all about.
  2. rattle-trap worked for me, fished kinda slow..
  3. It's been several years now, but one time while catfishing on lake weiss(from the bank) with a buddy and some family I accidently let a stringer full of fish get away. I thought I had the stick stuck in the ground good. Probably about 15 pounds of fish got loose along with the stringer. It was the days catch!! But not to worry approx. 45 minutes later I caught the stringer and all the fish were still on it. Thought I had a monster cat though. ;D
  4. T-rig is my new hero!!! Sorry Bill dance... ;D Nice fish T!! Wished my scanner was'nt broken!
  5. nice fish, I'm too from Ga. I have a 8lb. and a 8.5 lb on the wall along with my wifes 5 lb. waiting for that 10 lb. plus, releasing all others. I'm within walking distance from the lake I fish most. I love it. Good luck Oh yea, GO DAWGS!!!!!!
  6. Never tried it,but will. How much did that hog you're holding weigh? Huge fish!!
  7. Horney toads all spring and summer. If you don't fish with them you are missing out.

I also agree with T-rig, I fish horny toads the same way and tore bass up last spring and summer. ;D
  9. Try deep points and channel drops. If the water is murky where you're fishing pitch a jig-and-pig tight cover. If the water is clear slow twitch a suspending jerk bait. Hope this will help you.
  10. mustad's you are using are good hooks or at least I like them. I also use eagle claw's lazer sharp they are a little cheaper..I'm from GA. also.
  11. While reading a BASSIN magazine I read a tip the author said, while fishing a c-rig put a foam ear plug at the eye of the hook this allows the worm or lizard stay up in the strike zone or turn a t-rig worm or other plastic bait into a floating top water lure by simply threading the ear plug onto the hook until it covers the line eyelet.. Has anyone tried this? I am next time I go fishing.

I just bought some 30 lb. powerpro and P-line cxx x-tra strong from walmart never seen these lines before there. Keep it up walmart! Nearest bass pro shop is approx. 80 miles from me.
  13. Got me some power pro and p-line from walmart, when did they start carrying these lines? I'm glad they are though. I hope I like this power pro first time user.. :-?
  14. I'm with muddy man, I love my Pfluegers!!!!!
  15. Yeah, I used one. A Trion. For half a day. It fell apart. Worst $100 I ever spent. I also had a Team All Star flippin stick. The guides fell out in the middle of a tournament. I've bought my last Shakespeare product, thank you very much. I've never had worse products in my boat, but I'll start looking for 2nd worst now. Sounds like you have a problem, just wandering how many boats you have went through. "Oh by the way watch that stump sticking out of the water"!!! ;D
  16. Live bait! or you kidding me, don't talk live bait! artifical all the way!!! Just kidding, but I don't use live bait unless I take my daughter! ;D
  17. It seems to work better for me when hunting then fishing. But it does have an effect on feeding somehow, believe me you can live by it when hunting whitetails! Hunting season is over come on warm weather!!!!
  18. When you c-rig, how from the bait is the weight? normally about 18-24" when fishing shallow water..
  19. Fish in shallow water with a horny toad weightless or light weight T-rig. Also 6" C-rig junebug plastic worm works great for me!!! GOOD LUCK!
  20. all star rod, nuff said...let's go fishing 8-)
  21. Looks like alot of people haven't used a PFLUEGER ;D Pflueger rules!!!!!!!! (summit, president, supreme) they are all good
  22. I guess we could argue on this subject for years. I know different colors at different times of the year work for me. example: early spring (6"june bug plastic worms) works great for me here in GA. T- rig or C-rig Just fish with what you have confidence in and you'll land fish.
  23. 8.5 lbs. caught it in august of 06 on a chatter bait. Wished I had caught it in the spring, massive head and mouth on it. Still waiting to put that 10 pounder or better beside him. love fishing in my home state of GA!!!!!
  24. watermelon seed horny toad!!!!!
  25. I love the T-rig with a watermelon seed horny toad (spring all the way through summer)
