It is no doubt a nice fish but 12 lbs i think not.This guy is admittedly not a bass fisherman and has definetly overestimatd the size of this fish.The reporter in the story did not do their homework and the storyshould not have been published.This guy is obviously not the sharpest tool in the shed but he is does not represent the average Canadian angler we have some great fishing in Canada and some great fisherman as well so i think the statement made by brush pile berry is unfair and uncalled for.I am sure that the U.S. has just as many morons per capita as Canada has.That being said the chance of the next world record coming from Canada is not that great because of our short growing season,our bass live longer than those in the lower states but grow much slower.Thats all from me got to hitch up the dog sled team and leave the igloo for a bit to go to the store EH!

I generally bend the barbs down on finess baits or anything that im fishing slow but the faster moving baits that usually hook fish in the lip area i leave the barbs on,The barbs dont seem to be an issue on these baits because of very few fish get hooked deeply

i agree with aint texan the fintech line of jigs are the best i have ever fished with and if you havent tried them yet your missing out.The title shot is amazing stand up jig and very hard to get snaged not to mention they use Mustad ultra points so give them a try you wont be disapointed

Some of us just choose not to fish during the spawn Ontario has chosen not to open the season until after the spawn witch i think is unreasonable it should be a personal choice And there is some good fishing before they spawn.That being said i didnt mean to offend any one and as far as being F.O.S. that very well may be true but i just choose to fish Muskies at that time and we hold no tournaments for 6 weeks to let them spawn in peace.And yes i realize that fish do not have intercourse i was just trying to be funny guess it was not sorry it wont happen again

I love my stratos 201xl it handles rough water great .Im about 275lbs and my partner is about 200lbs and we can both stand on the side it and it will hardly lean at all.My home lake is about 85 miles long and can get very rough but i always know it will handle it

I personally do not use yum scent but i do use Smelly Jelly don't know if it is in the US or not but it works great.When prefishing for a tournement i cut the points off my hooks,just want to know if they are there not hurt them when i started using the smelly Jelly crawfish scent i noticed that they would not let go of the baits as quick and i even have landed several with a net with no point on the hook so if that is just bottled confidence i'll take it
