  1. The short answer from me is YES. Unpainted bodies from Jann's, Barlow's, Lure parts online, and several others. This is an addiction without a cure, just trying to warn you.
  2. Try pegging the weight down tight to the head of the worm. I use a tooth pick for that job and it works pretty well.
  3. To me the 1.5 looks more like a shell cracker pattern and the other bait looks like a blue gill. Most custom painters will shoot a shell cracker with more brown on the body and a blue/black head.
  4. This is a tough thread to follow. Post a profile pic of the bait to show what part of the color pattern is missing.

Good looking bait, very sleek body.
  6. All those baits are looking good. I want to see a chart belly on the last bait, that would be a killer looking combo.

Ben, those baits are 2" to 2 3/8" long with most weighing 3/8oz. Dave, can't have those bass teeth scuffing my clear coat.

ZEN, That's the kill spot. It's suppose to give the bass a target on the bait to hit. I'm not sure if it increases the number of bites but I don't think it hurts.

Now to kick off the new site with some cranks. Very pic heavy.

Very nice work as usual Cliff, I still hate your painting skills.
  11. Need a little help, seems I'm not smart enough to figure it out on my own. I keep getting an Error message This upload failed. Any ideas of what I'm doing wrong. Just figured out the problem. It works

Great looking baits Ben. The B2 clone is my fav but I have a soft spot for the big round square bills.
  13. I've been making my own willow beetle spins for several yrs and it's my main bait for wading in the summer. I use a 1/8oz jig head, #2 gold willow blade, teeny brush hogs or flukes for a trailer. Killer bait for small creeks and rivers in my area.
  14. Buy a yard of tule from a fabric store, it will last for yrs.
  15. That's pretty cool.
  16. I cannot decide which bait I like best, better send all three back for a closer inspection.

Flex Coat Ultra V high build, 2 coats.

Here are couple of med depth divers and some shallow runners in my fav messy patterns.
  19. Very nice looking swimmer.
  20. Cliff the colors may be out there but the brush work is off the hook. All the baits look amazing.
  21. The shad and craws are very nice indeed, I'm not hip on the spotted ape pattern, just a little too busy for my taste. The paint work is spot on for every bait in the bunch.

I have a couple of body styles that will have the hunting action every time. I have not figured out how to control how much zig/zag each bait has.
  23. Here is a nice set of baits, big brother and little brother. Same body styles just different sizes and weights.
  24. I like them all, good work Barry.

Bait #2 has that funky zig/zag swimming pattern. Gets real crazy banging around in rocks.
