Hello everyone - I am new to the Ned Rig but hear so many good things about it. I've done some research on it but it seems to be confusing. Can you all help me in answering some questions? 1) What's your favorite rod/reel for the Ned Rig? (I've read M or ML) need recommendations! 2) What line are you using? - I've always used straight Fluro - what's the advantage of using braid to fluro if that's your pick? 3) Can I use this setup for Trout as well? *Keep in mind I live in northern PA and the fish dont get over 6 lbs, and the depths are typically 15ft or less Thanks in advance for all the help!!

It looks like they all use arnall brackets, I just dont know how to go about using those on a jon boat

Hello everyone. I have a Lowe Big Jon 14' boat that I recently purchased a Minn Kota Maxxum Trolling motor for (don't have yet). I am looking for suggestions on how to mount this as the boat has a lip on the front. Can I simply use a 2x4 or 2x6 and mount to that? Or do I need to build up the entire front end? I am unaware and cannot find anything online about the width of the mount, so I am also not sure what size wood I would need. Any help is greatly appreciated. THANKS!

Hi everyone, Im looking to get a trolling motor for my 14' aluminum lowe big jon boat. Im pretty much set on getting a motor with an anchoring mode but need help on deciding which. Therefore, im looking for opinions on xi5 or xi3, whats the difference between these? Powerdrive or terrova? Which motor would you choose if this was your boat, and is a 55lb with 54 " shaft good enough? Any helps appreciated. Thanks!

Its got a 15hp on it I was looking at 2 inch thick foamm insulation board and laying carpet on top. For a flat lightweight floor and adding a battery to the back end. My only concern with that is if the foam will be strong enough instead of indenting everytime its stepped on

Jeeze theres so many options out there with sales... I can get a revo alx for 120 or the tatula 100 for 100.. these sound better and the revo alx is significantly lighter... anyone have an opinion?

Im debating between a couple of things but want to pull the trigger today as kistler has a good deal thats probably going to end this week.. These are: do i go with LMH or MH helium 3? -- i can get a reel after i suppose... Im a fan of Pline Tactical Fluro. What line do you think would be better? 12 lb? I know you commented on my other post so you are probably aware that im looking for a jig rod for 1/4 or 1/2 with trailers... Any suggestions ? ?

I thought i was set on getting a helium 3, but with more research im up in debate.. Can anyone explain the differences between the 2 rods and if the extra cost for the helium 3 is justified? Sensitivity is one of the biggest factors

So your saying with a tatula or curado 70 the rod balances out better? Also am i better off going with Fast or XFast

I forgot to mention that I would prefer to throw 17 lb fluro instead of braid.. With this being said, are these still go to reels that will balance out and stand up to jigging?
