  1. Thanks for the tip on the temperature effecting the taste. I enjoy catching them but have always thought that their reputation as a great eating fish was over rated. Maybe that's why.
  2. I've used BPS XPS 6# flouro as a nymphing leader so I don't see why it wouldn't work the other way too.

    I've been coming to this site to research bass fishing for a couple years now. It's a very useful resource. I've only been bass fishing for two years. I do most of my fishing out of a canoe. Usually on the Seneca river because I live close to it.
  4. I often fish a texas rigged green pumpkin 3.5" tender tube. If I run out of tender tubes I'll use a 3.5" power tube. I like those two because they're soft enough to compress easily and give a good hook set when texas rigged as opposed to a tube jig with an exposed hook. I use a 3/0 gamakatsu light wire ewg hook and usually a 1/8 ounce bullet weight pegged just a little above the bait to give it good action.
