bullet weights
not sure what tungsten would feel compared to brass but first time i used it switching over from lead it was rediculous how much more you could feel, you can not only tell the type of bottom your fishing but say you are fishing a rock pile you can tell the size of the rocks you are fishing. i found that its alot easier to tell when a fish picks up your bait and the smaller profile has to help with the lure's presentation and as for the cost of tungsten which turns most anglers off of tungsten think of it this way $4.99 for 4 so $1.25 a piece but you end up catching 25 fish before breaking off means that you pay $.05 a fish to use tungsten weights.

Does Gander Mtn. carry Guide Series CB rods?
online catalog rights were sold in the late 90's and as for crankbat rods yessir they do make them and they area quality rod they have an advantage series rod that comes in 6'6" med and a 7' MH both moderate action and have a burgandy blank wth fugi components $39.99 then there is the tournament bass series rod that has a crankbait rod they are a light blue blank and run $39.99 I beleive they only come in 7' lengths if your store doesn't have them then have them call the Fredercksburg VA store.

More important, Rod or Reel?
I work at Gander mtn and see this all the time and I try to tell customers this, they will come in and buy a $200 like a Shimano Curado, then go and look for a rod and get a $30 ugly stick to put it on, try to get them to go wth a cheaper reel and a better rod but wont because all they use are Ugly Sticks, long story short better rod so-so reel like raul said. I would look at the Shimano Crucial rods they're a great rod for around $130 or the Compre at about $90, really sensitive rods for the price.

Ramp courtesy
HPBB your welcome and sorry to hear about the rain we have slight showers in the morning down here im hoping it will get the pollen down so i can bare going out wedensday morning, one thing about the switch though is that it also controls your interior lights it took me like a month to figure this one out so if your interior lights dont work press the dome override switch one more time and everything should be in working order.

fishing the stumps
spinnerbait or shallow crank to work the stumps fast or many stumps at once, T-Rig worm or Jig if targeting specific stumps and slowing down your presentation, oh and almost forgot the senko T-rig weightless or wacky style
-
Ramp courtesy
HPBB to turn off your lights there should be a dome override button under a manual light switch press it 3 times i think its within 2 or 3 seconds and you can use the manual switch to control your lights, thats the way it is in my Silverado i imagine its the same with the tahoe, by the way great post once I had a guy with 2 jet skis backs down the ramp walks out into the middle of the water unhooks them gets back in the truck pulls out mean while his wife is holding one of the jet skis in front of the ramp while the other starts floating away he runs down the ramp swims out to get the other one then brings it back to the ramp and starts them letting them idle in front of the ramp then forget their life jackets so go back to the truck to get them meanwhile still blocking the ramp, greatest part of the whole ordeal was he starts going up river stalls out the jet ski and gets towed back, longest 30 mins ever spent trying to load a boat.

State Your RAIN GEAR 101
I love my frogg toggs but be aware there are several different styles, the lowest end rips easily and feel kind of papery these run around $20 the next step up is around $50-$60 and has almost the same kind of papery texture closest thing i can think of compare it too these are good light weight but not the most durable rain gear available, lastly there is the gear i personally use the its the ELITE ANGLER SUITE its a heavier duty polyester suite rather lightweight and has gotten me through many storms they retail for approximately $100 they also come with bibs. The most ive gotten wet wearing this suite was when the water got my cuffs wet under the suite from running down my hands and my collar from rain running off my hat.

Cabelas E Glass rod?????????????
Don't know about Cabelas but if you have a Gander Mtn. near you I have their Advantage Series 7ft Med Heavy E-Glass crankin stick and love it they run $30 and unlike the rest of the Advantage series these rods are made with FUJI reel seats and guides. They also have a 6'6" med E-Glass rod.

Am I expecting too much
One thing I would do personally is lube the reel you never know how long its been sitting on a shelf sometimes thats all it needs, that was what fixed my Curado 200B5 you could feel the gears when reeling with a little grease and oiled her up and she was working fine.

flourocarbon
I had a few questions about flouro, #1 How often should you change your line when using flourocarbon? #2 What causes the line to get brittle and how can it be prevented? #3 What is a good flourocarbon line that doesn't cost $25 a spool like Gamma?

New Curado vs Old Curado
The 200 series in both the Citica and Curado are work horse reels the gears have been beefed up from the old curado and there are 7:1, 6.2:1, and 5:1 gear ratios to choose from between the 3 there is also a new 300 series curado if your looking for a really beefed up reel that holds alot of line
-
New Curado vs Old Curado
The newer ones are technically a better reel much smoother and alot lighter spool than the original curado but to many they dont feel as well in your hand because the reel is a little bit bigger, the reel is set up similarly to the old Curado SF (green and gold reel), the Citica seems to however replaced the Curado at the $119.99 range and to many feels similar to it as the Curado got upgraded to almost a cross between the old curado and a chronarch. The 100 series in the reels however are built on the same frame as the old 100 curado and the citica and curado are very comparable in this size with the newer curado just having an extra bearing and lighter spool.

Looking for a low profile reel
Revo is one hell of a reel but WAY TOO FAST i would never put a 7:1 on a crankbait rod unless it was just for lipless cranks get a 5:1 Shimano Curado or Shimano Citica they're made for cranking, I have 2 of the old Curados in 5:1 and they have to be hands down my favorite cranking reels, good luck on your search and make sure you feel the reel on the rod before you make a decision, the new shimanos look bulky but feel amazing on a rod.

Spinning reel
haha thats what i'm replacing its decently smooth but because of the quickfire trigger and lack of a true antireverse i have problems with my hookset as a result.
