Zebco 33 vs Curado
Lets see both can be casted without using your thumb. They both have the same amount of plastic. Once setup the reel they never have to be reset. Oh, the Zebco is $150.00 cheaper. ;

Best line for soft plastic fishing...?
Used 15 lb. YoZuri last week and it was fine, except for lack of better term, Wind Knots. I was roll casting and the line would end up in a knot. I have never experience this except for braid.

braid vs. mono
this my 02 on the subject, last year I used braid on all my rods except crank bait and spinnerbait. I didn't like the braid for heavy wood cover, so this year only those rods that I will be using for slop and pads get braid. I am a line watcher and am going to try Original Stren 17Lb in Clear/Blue for worms and jigs.

centrifugal or magnetic, which do you prefer and why
I have both, but as I see it people that don't want to use their thumb prefer the 6 pin system (more like spin cast). The Mag breaks require that you use your thumb.

upgrade and tune old abu or replace?
I have a number of 4600 C4 and 4600 C3 that have been upgraded to C5 specs., that and good Abec 7 spool bearings make for one fine reel. I think I might get a couple out of storage and use them this weekend. Also change the brake blocks to Blue for light weight baits.

Ambassadeur Reel Question
The older Ambassadeur and most other reels were not made with an instant anti-reverse bearing, but rather a anti-reverse paw which would allow back play in the handle.

What Is A Good Baitcaster For Throwing Crankbaits?
Luna 103 5:8-1 perfect

P-Line-castability
I think it might be the combination of the 17Lb CXX, which has a way larger diameter the most 17lb test lines and the narrow spool reel with a spec. of 100 yards of 12lb test. I would think the wide spool version would be better suited to the larger diameter line.

Re-spooling and looking at options
Sorry was out of town this weekend. The spare spools would be great with Braid, I don't like heavy mono on spinning reels (10lb test would be max for me). Braid on the Baitcaster would be just fine, and handle better then the BG 12 or 15 for a beginner. I like BG or XT for spinner baits, shallow cranks, jerk baits and top water. I like braid for plastics, jigs etc.

Re-spooling and looking at options
Now to answer your question. Use the 8 lb test on the spinning reels and the 12lb test Big Game on the baitcaster. I would have recommended the 15 lb BG, but since you are new to baitcasting the 12Lb should handle better.

Revo SC
I believe they did. Great reel and a great price when on sale.

What reel is easiest to pitch with?
Narrow spool or wide spool?

berkley transoptic line
TransOptic is suppose to be released in May. Heard it will be similar to Big Game.

Revo Premier issue resolved.
I think the noise is from the anti-rust bearings used on the Primier. The noise is not loud so it never bothered me, but I think the other models of the Revo SX & STX also have this noise on the newer models with the anti-rust bearings. My older models with the standard stainless steel bearings don't make the noise. Maybe somebody a whole lot smarter then me, can comment on this?

Revo Premier issue resolved.
For all of you that don't want your Primier's just sent them to me (free of course). I have been using several since they were first introduced, and so far problem free. Just goes to show you that a metal reel can be even lighter then a graphite one.

Does anyone make a burner for round reels?
I believe the Abu EXT Pro at 6:4-1 has a IPT of 30 or more.

spider wire ultracast invisi-braid
Used the 30 and 50 lb. all last year and didn't have a problem of digging in. I normally tie my braid to a fence post and the walk off as far as I think I can cast and then reel it back on under a lot of tension. This process I believe prevents digging in on any braid. I also color the first 3 - 4 feet of line black so it is no more visible then the green, but I can see it.

Loomis BCFR894?
Besides flippin what other techniques would this rod be good for?

BC's round v/s Low profile
For many years my standard reels were Morrum SX's, Black Max 3600 & 1600, Luna's and Pro Max 3600. Only recently have I switched to Low Profile mainly for something different. I still use some of the round reels and the rest are in storage because I believe that they will out last the low profile. Some of the round reels are machined out of solid bar stock aluminum and are bomb proof.

Let's talk Triple Fish Line
Think I will give both a try.

Let's talk Triple Fish Line
RW, any experience with the higher pound test 15 - 20? How about the Camo Escent?

Let's talk Triple Fish Line
I need some input concerning Triple Fish Camo Escent line, such as abrasion resistance etc. Has anybody used it and what is the good and bad? In addition need some input on their Fluorocarbon line.

age
I have some Abu Black Max 3600's and 1600's from the early '90's. Upgraded with new spool bearing and faster gears. Have too much stuff so they seldom get out.
