I hate to watch those guys on tv handle a bass. They keep them out of the water too long and wave them around for the camera. Jerry McKinnis was the worst, he had a habit of running his hand down a fish and squeezing the tail.

Well it sounds like BPS has put out some good reels. Maybe better that Cabela's, seems like they get a lot of returns on their rods and reels.

I have also heard some very good things about the Pro Qulifier. Does anyone know who makes the BPS reels?

It was a neat day for them, live music and food and all sorts of things going on. The ice was real tough to play on. He has played some tournaments in Philadelphia and at Annapolis and somewhere in VA. Maybe these guys have been around each other. By the way the kids got so hot they could hardly breathe.

He plays for Southpointe, it is part of the league in and around Pittsburgh. I can't believe the places they play, they will be in Toronto Canada the middle of the month. I guess they had games for all ages going on there for three days or so. I have not talked to him since he played but I bet they had trouble with the ice it was over 50 degrees. A good day for fishing.

Just heading for the next marina to grease it down.

I am not looking to buy a new reel, was just wondering what the guys that have these or the guys who repair reels think about them. Do you think they are worth the price? Would you buy another? How do they compare with other reels at the same price? For instance the Revo S or the Shimano Citica. I don't own any BPS reels at all and I only have 3 of their older graphite rods. Just a topic for conversation

I have two and don't have any problems. Would not trade them for anything else.

I have never experienced this, but it is my understanding that some tungsten weight are rough on the inside where the line passes through and will cause your line to break. That is why I have only bought Tru Tungsten. At any price tungsten is worth it.
