G. Loomis 844C MBR - IMX-PRO and NRX+ review
I just picked up an 844 new recently. Still trying to figure out what to use it for ha. I have the 873crr,megabass Xbites and megabass tachyon shaft (for skipping jigs). I haven’t put a jig on the 844 rod since I was planning to use it for moving baits primarily, but it’s a little more stiff than I was expecting. What would you use it for if you had these rods?

When do you think is the prime time for each bait? (Crank, spinnerbait…)

When do you think is the prime time for each bait? (Crank, spinnerbait…)
Just curious if everyone would like to share when they think the absolute prime time is for each bait. so if you could throw a bait only one time during the year…when would you use it? squarebill crankbai lipless spinnerbait blade chatterbait buzzbqit swimjig erc this may be a dumb topic but heard a famous bass guy recently say Fall was a perfect time for a certain bait…so it got me thinking…

What's your Favorite Trailer? (soft plastics: trailers, ds, flippin', worms...)
Thanks. I’m really looking for what trailers do you use. for jigs in winter I use sk chunk and summer some sort of rage craw or Yamamoto cowboy swim jig: rage menace chatterbait: still not sure…keitech lately flipping: rage bug

What's your Favorite Trailer? (soft plastics: trailers, ds, flippin', worms...)
Ok I guess throw out worms from the question bc there's no way I would go with just one. Really I'm just curious what everyone's main/if you could just have one: jig summer trailer jig winter trailer swim jig trailer chatterbait trailer flipping bait

What's your Favorite Trailer? (soft plastics: trailers, ds, flippin', worms...)
LOL True! But I meant in the boat...the bait monkey can wreak havoc in my garage with the tackle I keep in there. But what I am trying to do is make my decisions more simple when I am on the boat...I am trying to simplify so that I'm not staring at 3 different craw trailers that each. have 3 different colors. Just kindof want to settle on one brand to carry for each category. So that's what I was trying to figure out...must not have worded it to well ha. But of those categories, what's your top trailer/pick to carry with you?

What's your Favorite Trailer? (soft plastics: trailers, ds, flippin', worms...)
I’m trying to condense how I carry my soft plastics on my boat. I have to keep my boat in storage and don’t trust the security so I don’t leave anything on my boat. I’ve been carrying two large kvd bags but they have started to look a little rough and so I picked up one of those Zman bags. I am going to try to keep these particular things in this bag: ig trailers (winter/summer…) : this is my biggest mix of rage craws, chunks, jr chunks, netbait paca, speed craws, rage bugs, yamamoto cowboy, twin tail grubs, and then several for finesse jigs... -Chatterbait/swim jig trailers: rage menace, sk zcraw/jr, xzone... -Creature/ flipping baits beavers :reaction innovations, rage bug, rodent, gb bandito bug, various craws... -drop shot baits: lots of roboworm, missile, dreamshot, zman trick... I noticed that I have tons of each one of these. I am going to try to keep one or maybe two brands of each category and that’s it. So what’s your go to for each of those? If you could only carry one bag with a few colors of each soft plastic, which would you choose?

How do you decide crankbait vs bladed jig?
Do you use a squarebill much or prefer bladed jig more often?

How do you decide crankbait vs bladed jig?
Just watched a recent youtube video on BR channel about bladed jigs and fishing them all day during the Fall. Yesterday I watched another pro talk about fishing a 8-10ft diving small crankbait all day...so my question is: how do you decide which to go with? What are the variables you use to decide which to go with?

What’s your top 5 Fall baits
Oh I’m sure that’s definitely the case. I mentioned southeast…but you can pick wherever. Just curious what your favorite fall baits are.

What’s your top 5 Fall baits
Thanks! Are you usually starting out with a buzzbait? Fish it all day or mainly in mornings?
-

What’s your top 5 Fall baits
Going out next week to a new lake in the southeast. Trying to put together my plan. it got me thinking, when you first come to the lake in the early Fall…what’s your top baits? Do you like to cover water or go straight deep? I know plans can change when you get there but I always like to have an initial plan. Just wondering what you have had good luck with.

Moving baits…nrx vs imx pro vs poison adrena

Moving baits…nrx vs imx pro vs poison adrena
Hey, looking to get a rod for throwing a variety of moving baits (swim jig, chatterbait, topwater...) and have heard the 844c mbr is a great rod...so curious if anyone has ever compared the nrx with the imx pro? I realize the glx is in between the two...so I guess we could throw that one in as well. I have several nrx rods but they are all JWR. I have heard amazing things about the nrx+ 844 and have no doubt it would be amazing; but, I just purchased my first imx pro ( 906c) and have been really impressed! So what I'm wondering...is the NRX worth double the price of an IMX pro when using it for moving baits? I'm not one to go somewhere with just one rod and switch multiple baits...when I go fishing I like to have specific rods already setup with specific techniques so that I can keep my line in the water as much as possible, since I usually don't have a great amount of time to fish. That being said...if the nrx is that much better than the IMX...then I could see using it as the rod to tie on a specific bait that I don't have already tied on.... So, I'm open to suggestions... would you go with one NRX for moving baits or maybe two imx pros (or poison adrenas)? I'm always looking for an excuse to get an nrx but just don't know if it's overkill. Has anyone compared these?

Daiwa Zillion SV TW
Yes you can do it…I skip with mine. But I feel the tatula 103 is better. They are all great tho!
-
G Loomis 844c mbr
Cool thanks. Did you have one?
-
G Loomis 844c mbr
Yeh but those are jig and worm rods...looking at the nrx 844c mbr and how it performs. Anyone have one? Thanks
-
G Loomis 844c mbr
Anyone have the 844 in the nrx? Thoughts? thanks
-
Daiwa Zillion SV TW
I have quite a few of them but there are a few situations I would go another route. For skipping, I still feel the tatula sv 103 is hard to beat...it's easier to control than the zillion in my mind.

Favorite fishing knot
Has anyone compared knot strength of uni to sdj? I think I’m down to those two. I’m leaning toward uni just for simplicity sake but not sure yet. There’s something to be said for simplicity and poor eye sight ha. As I get into my mid 40’s…those intricate knots aren’t as easy all the time ha
