Livescope help
Just got a livescope recently and am having issues. went out this morning and I figured out my livescope problem…it’s showing what’s behind the trolling motor (backwards). I’m pretty sure the transducer is on the right way…is it possible the orientation is wrong? I think there’s a way to calibrate it…do you think that will fix it? So when I face the trolling motor forward right now toward the shore…it shows it going deeper. Then I put a big A-rig 10 feet behind the trolling motor and could see it…but when I put it 10 ft in front, I couldn’t see it. Any ideas how to fix this? thanks

What’s your go to bed fishing technique-lmb or smb
Yeh I’ve heard it’s pretty good! Do you fish it for both lmb and smb? What color do you prefer?

What’s your go to bed fishing technique-lmb or smb
Who knows. Didn’t seem agitated with the others. In my past experience, if they strike out of frustration, it slowly builds. I didn’t see any signs of that. But like I said, who knows. I wasn’t super Impressed with the truck worm tho (even tho it did get the fish). I was expecting more buoyancy.

What’s your go to bed fishing technique-lmb or smb
So thought this might be fun to try. I have a pond in front of my office. Went by the bank and saw a lmb staying in one area. It wasn’t on bed but just going back and forth in a 15-2.0 ft area about 3 ft deep. So came back next day with some baits: 1. black and blue rage bug pinned 2. White Rage menace on red ewg hook free rig. 3. Drop shot with yellow truck worm wacky rig 4. Megabass dark sleeper she didn’t go for any of those. Multiple times of her just staring but no commit. The white rage menace got her to circle around and nose down but never did anything. Today: 1. Drop shot with big bites smaller smasher 2. Ned rig with pink trd 3. Red small lizard Texas rig 4. White truck worm shakyhead went through those in that order. Not interested in any of them TILL the white shakyhead. Went and ate that immediately. Hooked her and had her back in the water in less than a minute. It was a fun challenge. I’ll check tomorrow and see if she’s still in the area and doing ok. She was around 2.5lbs Any other ideas on what I should have tried? any ideas what he/she was doing…roaming back and forth for two days?

Do you use livescope when you move shallow?
Do you ever get to a point where you go fish shallow laydowns/fish down the bank? Or do you just go look for another spot with your active target? Is there a point where you just give up on forward facing and go fish shallow?

Do you use livescope when you move shallow?
Ok cool thanks! Yeh, it's really hard to know when to use it and not. when I have it on, it's really hard to ignore...so it's hard to even fish shallow without watching it. And if I don't see anyting...just feel like I'm casting for no reason. I'm just trying to find a good system to use where I feel confident. I don't mind using the livescope everywhere...but I'm getting tired of second guessing myself all the time. Would love some more advice on what you all do. Thanks

Do you use livescope when you move shallow?
Ok thank you! any other thoughts? I'm curious about secondary points as well...when you are running a pattern and just hitting secondary points in the backs of creeks...do you run back there and then put your scope down and just scan the point?

Jig Fishing Questions
Yeh I have several (6-7) plano edge boxes. The only one that I have had issues with is the one with my ned baits (zman plastics). The rubber gasket broke completely and it discolored the box. The baits are amazing but they don't play well with anything!

Do you use livescope when you move shallow?
Ok I’m new to livescope and still learning! The other day I went to a local small lake and road around for about an hour looking for baitfish. Never saw anything…water was really murky-12” visibility. Found a couple brush piles but didn’t see any active fish on livescope or DI. So figured most were up shallow getting ready to spawn. So my question is: when you decide to shift and go fish shallow…do you use your fffs (livescope) to scan in front of you as you run down the bank? If there’s a dead tree fallen in the water, should you be able to see bass in there with livescope? just trying to figure out how to use this livescope to the best of my ability. Thanks

Just curious what you use when you see fish on beds. I know some don’t fish beds, but for those that do…what’s your go to technique?

What’s your favorite topwater (popper, buzz, frog…) setup?
Thanks! Does everyone mostly use the same rod for whopper plopper and a buzzbait? Also, are these dedicated topwater rods or do they double duty in other techniques? I know alot do topwater in the morning and then switch and use the rods for other techniques

What’s your favorite topwater (popper, buzz, frog…) setup?
I was thinking poppers might be best with a medium rod with xf tip. Shorter 6’8-6’11 buzzbaits/wp: mh or h rod with moderate longer 7-7’4 frog: heavy/xh with a fast tip. I like a shorter 6’6-6’10 But I don’t fish much so that’s why wanted to get your thoughts.

What’s your favorite topwater (popper, buzz, frog…) setup?
Not really looking for specific rods. Just curious what you look for in your topwater rods. Do you have a one do it all rod or multiple setups? Mind sharing what you like and why? I’ve been thinking about it and it seems to me like topwater lures need a variety of power and action. But just want to hear all your expert thoughts. Looking at poppers, buzzbaits, frog, and whopper ploppers. Thanks again

Daiwa Steez vs Zillion can you share your recommendation?
Thank you all for your thoughts. As of right now, I think I’m just going to stick with the zillion sv g. I know have 5 of them and just can’t see the need to spend more…maybe one day I’ll try someone’s steez and regret it ha…but as of right now I’m pretty happy! It’s just a great combo of quality,, precision and compactness. I would love to buy a steez one day…so I’ll continue to keep my eye out for a crazy good deal. Thank you again for your thoughts!

Best topwater/buzz bait rod - no limit on price- what’s your pick?
Oh really? Do you use it for buzzbaits? Is it strong enough to handle 1/2oz? I have heard really good things about it! Looks like it’s hard to find

Best topwater/buzz bait rod - no limit on price- what’s your pick?
Ok, I’ve got one rod that has been in my arsenal since I began fishing and it’s time to replace it. I use it mainly for buzzbaits and whopper ploppers…it’s a 7’mh do all kindof rod. Just wondering what your absolute best topwater/buzzbait type rod would be. I have a frog rod and I have a rod I do my poppers and walking style baits. I’ve got a rod in mind but want to see what your pick would be for yourself. Thanks
