Congrats on your new rod!I got my first GLoomis a couple of weeks and it makes a huge difference than any other rod I have used b4.I feel every thing,it's powerful and nice and light!

I just bought a symetre over the weekend and was very impressed for such an inexpensive reel!

After owning the Calais for a few days brought back my BPs combos and went Shimano across the board, Calais with Gloomis rod ,Curado with St croix rod and Symetre Falcon rod!Thanks for corrupting me guys!LOL!!

I hear guys on this forum ravinggggggggg about the zillion and the curado I just bought a Calais with a Gloomis rod and Iam very happy I might use that rod/reel for all my baits cant afford to buy 4 or 5 more combos like that....

How ironic that I posted not having any probblems than today I opened up the brake system to change it and now it wont close!!!!!!LOL!Back to BPS it goes.........

LOL!!!Yea pretty much!Just started backup bass fishing after a 4 yr break and Iam into deep again 5 rods,tackle box full of stuff and a 17ft Sea Nymph bass boat and looking for tournaments.....

I got two of them and for the money they are great combos no problems with them!

I just got myShimano Calais and Gloomis rod MBR782C frpm BPS took it to a local canal to test it out and its unbeliveable!Best rod and reel I ever used!Feels like I got a Rolls Royce of fishing reels!I feel everything and reel is sooooooooo comfortable and smooth and no worries of backlash and it was windy about 15mph and I was throwing directly in the wind only problems is I gotta get 4 more setups like this now!!!LOL!!!

Thank you Reelmech I was just about to post that but it also has this from tackle tour "Performance A good general purpose reel though not quite suited for finesse application" By no means am I knocking Zillion!It's not what Iam looking for!Iam looking for a reel that can handle finesse baits thats y I went with the Calais....

my mistake I read that the zillion didnt handle lighter baits good and thats what I mostly use so I decided against the zillion sorry about the confusion

Btw iam going from a BPS $60 reel to a $400 Shimano I am sure its gonna be night and day.

Thanks for replies!Gonna go with Calais, zillion seems more of a burner which i dont need for worm fishing and the Gloomis rod MBR782C Iam partial to 6'6 rods that are med i use very light weight on worms.Did alot of reasearch on all 3 reels Calais 100A seem like it will fit my needs,read about some probs with chronarch and zillion is a burner..Thanks again will post review!
