Wow, crazy we didn't have a "BASS Elite Series has turned into a dink fest" after the Winyah bay event when the leader weighed 50lbs IN 4 DAYS. You guys are smarter than that, this is a result of the fishery and not the the format. I will agree that BPT is geared more towards the number of fish caught (which is way more exciting to me) however, i don't agree this is a "dink fest".

Watching this while at work is agonizing, I want to be on the water so bad. Wish someone would start sponsoring below average anglers.

Man hopefully Wheeler and KVD can get above the cut today.

I love hartwell, pretty much a my home lake but this is def. turning out to be kind of a dink fest. He was trying to push the pollen off of the surface of the water so he could see. He was using a water gun with soapy water.

I completely agree. I don't mind bed fishing but i'd prefer the fish to be released local to where it was caught. The soap thing is ridiculous.

Anybody following? Looking like everyone has started out sight fishing but i haven't really seen anything over 3+ lbs caught yet. I'm guessing 15-18 lbs per day will get you in the top 5.

I really enjoy the MLF format. At the pro level it seems kind of hokey to drive around all day with 5 fish in a small livewell just to walk across a stage and take a picture with them. They easily have the technology to catch/weigh/release. Obviously this is not feasible for lower level/local tournaments that do not have marshalling.

Ish is killing them. I'd like to see J. Lee pick it up this afternoon.

Zoom Flukes or Caffeine Shads all the way i've had plenty of success fishing both.

Check out some of the comparison videos on Youtube, it may change your mind regarding bait action and fall rate. I generally fish a Senko or the BPS stick bait.
