i caught this huge slab today on a KVD spinnerbait while fishing for bass the cooler he is laying on is 17 inches so u can guess his size.

this is my turtle fred he is wierd and likes to swim backwards for some reason.

yeah there we got the cooler it is on is 17 inches long so u can guess how big it is.

well guys went out on the lake today and the fish have finally moved away from the banks and are out in deeper waters we caught 10 from 11oclock to 2oclock most around the two pound range all were caught on either a spinnerbait or a wild eye baby crappie. the best part was though i hooked a fish and the spinnerbait and i thought it kept wanting to jump so i put the rod tip in the water and when i got it to the top realized why it never jumped. i had caught a huge crappie on that spinnerbait.that was the biggest slab i have ever caught it was 15 inches long and wieghed almost two pounds i will post a pic as soon as i figure out how to put them up from my new camera phone. GBF

i am in the same predicament my dad has gotten older and getting more senile i guess he still likes to take me hunting and fishing but he just cant last as long and doesnt really have the heart for it anymore but like always there are those great memories in the field and on the water. GBF

PA angler same thing happened to me except they didnt bite me off we were catching little chain pickerel or jack fish as we call them in a pond an we were catching them on those little rebel minnows very first cast i caught a bass that weighed a pound and was holding him up by the line for a picture and splash there he and that $5 dollor minnow went my cousing said that i must not have tied that knot good well the very same thing happend later with a jack and then he tied the next one on even though i told him there was no way my knot slipped and the same thing happened again except just reeling the fish in. well i grabbed the line and pulled on it and that 14lb test snapped like 2lb test and i said there is your problem shane u forgot to change your line so we caught 7 fish lost 15 bucks worth of lures. hookemdown i know how u feel man that first season after i got my first bird aw man every year since its been crazy and remcar i know exactly what ur talkin about my dad is the same way now in fact u and him wuold probably get along he used to hunt more than anybody and now he just takes me. GBF

ok thanks ceph that is kinda like i am going to be fishing today i am heading out at 9 cant go any earlier because i have a soccer team to coach. GBF

no sir they can fly and can fly pretty darn good when they have to they dont fly often though only to cross fences or rivers or when they fly down in the morning or up in the evening or when running from predators. GBF

hey can someone tell me the best way to fish a shad rap i have a shallow 3-6 running baby bass version how and where should i fish this bait thanks alot. GBF

anbody been getting to do any spring turkey hunting this year i have been three times after the same gobbler and then one day my cousin came home and said that the turkey was in the field so we went back and i called it up to him and i let him shoot him it was his first turkey had a 10 inch beard with inch and a half spurs very pretty bird too. GBF

hey BK i havent thought about it but the first carp i ever caught i snagged with a treble hook maybe i should just try snatching it into them.jk wouldnt want to hurt them like that. GBF

BK u and me are having the same problem i live in florida also i fish in a lake in orlando and it is loaded with carp we have tried sweet corn, bread, and doughballs and we havent had any luck.u can see the fish on the beds and throw right in front of them and they just look at it like they are stupid or sumthing.i have also heard that u can take some of that snotgrass stuff and make it into balls and let it dry out and that works but i havent tried that yet let me know if u start having luck so i can catch some too i just want to catch them because they are so big and they put up a great fight. wow that is pretty cool i have never seen it before but my dad told me he caught one one time with a baby gator in its stomach.i also caught one once that had a little watersnake in its mouth. GBF

thats really hard to say some people have different opinions when i first got some i thought they did but now i dont really think that they do and i am kinda upset that they had them on my favorite KVD spinnerbait. GBF

that is a cane toad it was introduced to australia to get rid of the cane locust that they had and now it is a nuisance it is said that people lick them to hallucinate. GBF

i got my cousin good i had went fishing the day before and had caught some panfish and some mudfish or bowfin to some people which are nasty i fried the panfish up then told them it was mudfish and showed them a bucket full of mudfish heads and guts(my uncle uses the meat for his crab traps) they all started gagging and puking it was hilarious. GBF
