I've made a bunch of them over the past few years. I've made my own wire harnesses and bought some. I am lucky in that I have a company near that sells wire harnesses very reasonable (Battlefield Wire). I have fashioned the heads from epoxy putty that comes in the round tube. You just unwrap what you want and mix it. Press it on the wires and shape it the way you want it to look. This one is from my own wires and the putty. This one is with the wire I bought and casting resin head in the mold I also bought.

Mike you need to check them out. My grandson got me one for Christmas last year. I love it. My boat is too heavy for one with a wheel but an electric with a wheel should be real good for you. I have been seeing them at marine dealers in this area. They are a bit pricey but they are nice.

Those are good reels. I carry a few of them myself.

I recommend that you check the local rules. The ones near me prohibit boats with motors over their restricted limits. You have to have a second boat or stay off them.

I don't use a swivel much but when I do I use the 16/20 or Pitzen. It is fast and strong.

I you do a 2 sided be sure to put lots of oil on the first half so they won't sick together.

I prefer to put my scent into the molds that way I can change them in the middle of a batch if I want to.

A 1/2-1oz poison tail jig with the largest Gene Larue salt craw as a trailer in what ever color they are liking that day.

Have you thought about calling the factory and ask for technical help?

We used to have that often with used boats. We used WD-40 on them, let them set, then applied a pipe wrench.

Hamby's and Keel Guard are the most popular around here. Mine is a Keel Shield because that is what we carried at the dealership when I got my boat.

There are several different brands and as far as I know all of them are good and have a lifetime warranty. I have one on my boat and it has served me well as I launch by myself much of the time where I can't use a courtesy dock. If you install your own, get someone to help hold it as you put it on. You'll need to clean the area with acetone, hold the shield up to the boat and mark around its perimeter, take some scotch brite pads and rough up the area, reclean, then install the unit. It isn't hard to do but the second person will make the job a lot easier.

I think anyone who has used baitcasters for very long has had a few on them.

Don't get the metal ones get the Teflon pins instead. They are way better and easier to use.

If you are using alligator clips on the battery, just put a cord on one of them and hook it to your life vest.

Personally I'd wait. At least 10 minutes.

There is an L shaped bracket inside the head that may be bent. I've had it happen to mine and I just take it off and reshape it then put it back and realign the arrow. Just take the screws out and pull the top off to get to it.

You also need to be sure to get a shaft long enough to keep the prop in the water when it is windy or the thrust won't mean a thing.

I make my own but they aren't very fancy. I go for simple and productive in a very few colors, mostly some variation with white being the dominant color.

I have gotten lead from recycle facilities, guys who remodel hospitals, Dr. and dentist offices and home remodelers. I got a couple of 4x8 sheets from a hospital radiology remodel. You just have to look around.

I believe that is an oxymoron. I haven't even seen a reliable digital scale no matter what the price.

You also might factor in the barometric pressure. Those mile high skies tend to have high pressure and that is usually not a good thing either.

I don't watch fishing shows because I don't find much relevant info on them just a lot of high fiving over and over. I use my own and partners' methods.

I wouldn't put either in until I poured a few. As for adding new stuff, I don't do it very often. When I recycle I know I am bound to wind up with green, brown, or black. After melting I may add some plastisol if I want a lighter shade.
