  1. They are for me. They are light weight and very sensitive.
  2. A tool caddy that snaps around a seat pedestal. A step for the trailer tongue. A light for the boat console.
  3. That is some kind of rear drive trolling motor. I have seen them before but never multiples only one unit.
  4. G I have not seen this hook listed. Before you buy any new ones try slightly dending a few of your 28° hooks and see if they will work. I do that when I want an EWG hook with an Arke head. It has worked every time for me and I don't even have to heat the hooks.
  5. The most easy and simple way to do it is with an onboard charger. If you use one of the batteries as a crank then a 3 bank. If not then a 4 bank. Get a 10-15 amp per bank charger and all you have to do is plug it in and go to bed.
  6. For the typical spinnerbait the wire is too brittle to straighten out without breaking. You might heat it up a bit and get it to straighten but cutting it is faster. A friend of mine invented a way to drop that second blade without bothering the first one. Bass Pro Shops bought his patent and is paying him royalties. I haven't seen any in stores but haven't really been looking either.
  7. I always dropshot with braid and a mono leader. I attach them with the Alberto's knot. Please report back as I am interested to find out how it goes if you are fishing vertically in 15 fow. I can't get them to bite like that unless it is murky or 25' deep.
  8. I keep my skirted jigs in the BPS plastic boxes. I have a box for (3/4 and 1 oz), (a box for 1/2 oz), (a box for 3/8 oz) and (a box for 1/4, 3/16, and 1/8 oz). I keep my bucktail finesse jigs in small zip lock bags inside of tackle bags, one for the light weight (30 grain and 1/8 oz) and another for the heavier (1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 oz).
  9. That's the way I read it.
  10. Yes they can be repaired. There is a inner wire with insulation, then a shielded mesh with another insulation.
  11. It really makes a difference to me at night when feel is everything. That is why I only buy very few brands and mulitples of those.
  12. Sorry but I can't help. I don't use rattles on my jigs.
  13. What gauge? Never create a jig myself. Attempting to. I don't know the gauge of wire as it came out of an old table saw motor. I have been using it for about 15 years and it looks like I have another 15 years of wire left. IB, I heat my heads 12-18 at a time in the toaster oven. That is a lot faster for me and I don't have to mess with flames.
  14. Is powder paint the best, or vinyl, etc. I think powder is the only way to go. You can bake them or not. If you want the paint to last a long time then bake them. All you need for that is a cheap toaster oven. I got mine for $5 in a garage sale. You will also need to put pins in the holes and glue the weedguard in after the heads are painted. I even wait till the skirts are on before adding the weedguard. I would like to hand tie the jigs rather than use a skirt collar, so what do i need to do this? You need a couple of pairs of pliers and some copper wire. I also read that hard lead is harder to use than soft lead. Lead with alloys like antimony are harder and need higher temps to melt. They also need a good fluxing if you want smooth pours on the heads. If you really get into this and powder paint you will be wanting a fluid bed before long.
  15. I've tried a lot and Pro Guide 200 reserve amp batteries give my 4 years and are still going strong when I give them away to one of my cheap friends.

I throw the spook and the spook junior. They both catch fish for me. I like the junior a lot but can't cast it as far as the regular spook.
  17. I'm not like some of the mods on here. I am a poor boy. I have both the 844 and 843 in the IMX version. I would only trade them for a new sonar or trolling motor. ;D
  18. My question is do you want to catch quality fish or dinks?
  19. I'd try bending them back and see how it goes. If it looks ok then add some epoxy, if not then have them replaced.
  20. The only way I have ever winterized anything is to add some stabilizer to the gasoline. Since I have a Merc I use their product. I do change the lower unit fluid in June and December. And once per year I put on a new water seperating fuel filter. I have heard that you really don't need to keep the tank full of gasoline with todays tanks because there won't be condensation but I don't know that for a fact.
  21. I use them any time I am in Texas.
  22. I am not sold on their jerks. I have a bunch of them and the Rapala Xraps sent them to the bottom of the box last winter.
  23. It is all the equipment that it takes for all the situations.
  24. A couple of options for you depending on what highly detailed means to you: buy a mold similar to what you want and modify it with a Dremel tool, or buy a blank mold from Do-It and make your own mold or have a machinist make one for you from the blank.
