Need a ML baitcaster
What weight neco, wacky rig?

Need a ML baitcaster
The Phenix is the softest of the bunch and can handle the lightest weight. The GLX has the good power but the extra length helps casting light lures a bunch. All depends on how light you plan to throw.

I have tendonitis in both wrists and they have helped so much!

Need a ML baitcaster
? I have an obsession with high end ML and M casting rods. My favorite MLs I have ever fished are: 7'1 ML Phenix K2 and the 7'3 ML Daiwa BLX. Although the next recommendation is a M, it is something I figured I would bring up which is the GLX 892 casting rod and has a lot of nice tip which is a great rod. All three are my favorite high end rods casting rods that I use instead of spinning. My recommendation depends on how light/heavy you plan to go. Plus, if my rods exceed what you are looking to spend.

Need a ML baitcaster
The Zodias 6'10 ML is an awesome stick but it all depends on budget on what I would recommend. I use a lot of ML casting rods and definitely have my favorites. Let me know as I don't mind helping at all.

St. Croix Legend Elite
I agree that the rod doesn't detect line movements but it transmits the line movement in which you detect. This has to be the case because it wasn't then why would a NRX with 15 lb fluorocarbon feel more responsive than a Ugly Stix. I agree

St. Croix Legend Elite
I am aware what you are feeling. What I was not aware of is why you wrote a paragraph of nonsense about a rod you have never fished. I am aware that the rod is there to detect line movements. Otherwise, good information

Best Rods
Warranty: G Loomis wins as it's the best in the industry. Price: Shimano. Picked Shimano as they provide great value in all of there rods. Plus, the offer a ton of rods across price ranges. Balance: Dobyns is known for great balance. Fishability: This is tough as everyone may prefer different reel seats, etc as we all hold our setups differently. Appeal: Megabass always has amazing aesthetics. Shimano is second IMO.

St. Croix Legend Elite
May be the most ridiculous thing I have ever read. To actually answer your question, the LE is about on par with the GLX regarding sensitivity. Fish Tanks advice is right on point with my opinion of these rods.

Shimano Bantam vs Met
I will adjust my brakes according to the application as well as the external adjust to compensate for the conditions on hand or if switching a lure as it may need more or less braking depending on application. The Metanium MGL, Chronarch MGL, Bantam MGL, Curado K (Just a few for example) all have the SVS Infinity braking... I actually own 4 Bantams and setting 4 brakes is not optimal casting performance. The external adjustment was decided as a micro adjuster for quick changes in conditions and when throwing different lures. It does a great job but setting 4 brakes is hurting casting performance.

Shimano Bantam vs Met
4 brakes lol???

Gloomis rod that might double as frog, pitching, heavy crank
That is all irrelevant to the OP question. G Loomis is still the gold standard. Everyone is still being compared to G Loomis. The E6X rod is in fact the old IMX blank and is much improved over the prior generation. G Loomis is a premier high-end rod company in the fishing industry and they have been one of the leaders for years. The G Loomis 884C SWBR E6X is a perfect rod as as versatile as it gets and was a great recommendation from TigerBass. The 844C MBR is legendary for its versatility but IMO the 884 will excel better for the applications described. Great recommendation TigerBass! I highly recommend that rod.

Specific jig rod help
LOL Neither rod will disappoint but I would go Expride too. Expride vs Helium flip a coin lol
-
Specific jig rod help
Have both and would go with the Expride. No doubt about it. I fish the Expride and my son fishes the Helium now lol

Garmin Force: About to bite the 3K Bullet!
By the way, the Ultrex isn't what I would call tried and true. Minn Kota has had a ton of problems with them. Go with the Garmin

Best budget fluorocarbon
There is no right way. Different people and different scenraios require different drag pressure. It's a good guideline not a rule.
-
Best budget fluorocarbon
I 100% agree with J Francho. I never have knot failures. Yes, tournament anglers almost always check there knots as they know money and success is on the line. Most people overthink things. It's not rocket science. Setting drag to 1/3 of the line weight. Where is there scientific proof from a legitimate lab showing that's the case? Drag pressure depends on many factors.

Best budget fluorocarbon
This guy again... No issues for me either. I use Red Label and SNiper

Shimano Zodias verse Dobyns Champion
Zodias no question. Never been impressed with Dobyns sensitivity.

Curado DC - extra brief review
Don't let one persons experience persuade you. He just doesn't know how to adjust his reel properly

G.Loomis E6x worth a shot?
Yea Kistler has a very controversial reputation due to there past. St Croix, G Loomis, Shimano, Phenix, Megabass, and Daiwa all make great rods. I'd choose one of them personally. Depending on the price range and the type of application determines exactly which company and model I would recommend. Also trying some Taipan rods right now and like them thus far. I will write a review after a few more trips with them. All have great customer service departments and make great products.

KVD moving to Lew's
Exactly. DVT is correct. Shimano and Daiwa know they don't need to. Unfortunately, these pros don't move the needle. Quality products speak for themselves.
-
Curado DC - extra brief review
Use the micro adjuster on the reel to fine tune it. Read the manual. The Curado DC is more than capable. You didn't set the reel properly... Have three of them. Like all reels without proper settings and know how the reels can be difficult.

2019 Z BONE vs. Conquest
Im not bashing Kistler but I don't think people realize how much he pays NFC for blanks I think he takes the short end of the stick in the deal because he had bad breakages back in the past. He has to IMO cut corners elsewhere to get his price down to be profitable. A rod at that price (helium) with Grade A cork and Kigan frames with Coalite insets is unacceptable at its price.
