2020 Shimano Metanium Thread
I asked my local dealer and he wasn't sure about the gears. So it must be secret lol

Kistler Helium big price boost 2020
More around IMX not GLX. I agree with you about a lot of options out there. Lots of other options.

Kistler Helium big price boost 2020
I'll pass on a Helium at $350. Better options IMO at the price point

Levante rods/re-release?
Im sure Megabass will put out a great product. Always do!

Daemos or FMJ: which should I buy?
LOL! You are my hero

Daemos or FMJ: which should I buy?
I agree the Daemos is a sweet rod! Right on Rich. However, I would say Daemos as the OP states a step up from his 852C JWR, I would say Daemos all day. The FMJ has even more power than a NRX 854C JWR. Think the FMJ would be overkill but best of luck to the OP

Carolina Rig Rod
I would take a good look at the Expride. Its a sweet rod. One of my favorite for sure.
-
Carolina Rig Rod
I would suggest the NRX 873, Expride 7'6 H, Megabass Destroyer Valdivia, Steez AGS 7'6.

Carolina Rig Rod
How big of Carolina rigs do you plan to throw? What budget do you have in mind? I typically stay with Shimano, G Loomis, Daiwa, St Croix, Megabass. Not a fan of ALX

Daemos or FMJ: which should I buy?
The FMJ shines with 1/2+ oz. IMO from the range you provided the Daemos would be better suited. The Daemos is very capable of handling jigs, swim jigs, etc. The Daemos will handle the lower range better and the FMJ will handle 1/2-3/4 oz better

SLX DC Problems Galore
IMO the braid is the issue. I don't recommend braid on casting reels unless 30 lb+. Braid of that small of diameter likes to dig into itself. Also ensure you have adjusted the DC module as well as the spool tensioner

Shimano Poison Adrena

The latest sale thread
I wasn't belitting. I apologize if it came off that way. I wouldn't do that to someone. I wished him great luck on his rod and told him to let us know how he liked it. Sorry if it read wrong. I didn't mean it as being mean. I didn't read that he couldn't swing the more expensive rod. Best of luck to him on his rod. St Croix is a great company and im sure it will serve you very well. I apologize to anyone who took it wrong and the gentlemen who bought the rod.

$100 before the Black Friday sale that would put a BRAND NEW with full warranty at $200 so $50 extra you could have a perfect rod that wasn't B stock and have full warranty
-
The latest sale thread
Why would you buy a B stock rod with a extremely reduced warranty? I would have recommended just getting the rod at discount with full warranty. Well worth the extra coin IMO. But goodluck and let us know how you like it

Kistler Helium 3 fans, here's some news
Not going down that road again with Kistler.

Kistler Helium 3 fans, here's some news
Remember why Kistler went to NFC for blanks because the blanks Kistler used before broke left and right and then Kistler refused to warranty the rods. Personally, I wont be buy there product

Destroyer FMJ or GLX MBR 844CC
Versatility goes to MBR. FMJ has more power though
-
Xtasy 755 or NRX 894C
I own both and prefer the NRX. Its more sensitive in my hands. I'd opt for the NRX.
- Heavy cover frogging and flipping - DX746C or Expride 73XH?

Reel to pair with Orachi?
Great rod! I really like the Chronarch MGL but the DC is nice too. You can't go wrong.

Best spinning rod under $500...expride, g. loomis...
I dont like ALX at all. All of my buddies sold theres as well. Around 150, I would recommend a Dobyns Fury, St Croix Mojo, Shimano Intenza, Phenix Feather. Those are the best in that price range.

Split grip or full cork question
Full cork!
