  1. Good deal. The Conquest, Legend X, Steez AGS, and NRX are all top notch. Can't go wrong. I really like my Conquest/GLXs the most. The AGS and NRX are sweet too. Too many great choices lol
  2. I'm sorry but at that price, my money would go elsewhere. Hope the best for them though.
  3. The Heliums are sensitive and serve people well but not GLX sensitive. Not quite on the level. Maybe the old GLX but the new GLX is an awesome rod and superior in my hands as well as all of my buddies. Personally, I don't think Trey will be discounting new product unless holiday sales when around when he releases them. But you never know.
  4. 100% agree with DVT. I was speaking in terms of package safety. But I agree it is more expensive but worth it to me as an individual. BTW DVT what would it take to get a custom going?
  5. You are correct that carboard can hold up well if properly done. But unfortunately packages see a lot of abuse and unfortunately cardboard falls to pvc in every aspect in terms of safeguarding contents. But it weighs more and is more expensive. But it comes down to the thickness and quality of packaging as cardboard is more than capable. Glad to hear you received yours safely! Trust me as I use to work at Fedex as a loader in high school. Kistler use to sell and use PVC and I see quite a few companies still use PVC but cardboard is the overwhelming majority as they have business accounts and receive highly discounted rates and have insurance on them. I have shipped many rods for travel and selling old rods (over 50) and only ever broken 2 which were both in cardboard tubes, which were reused tubes but when I switched to using PVC all of my packages arrive safe and sound. Will only ship in PVC as I don't have to insure packages as much now as I feel much safer about them arriving securely. Tight lines!
  6. If the company ships in cardboard, they are clueless lol. Only PVC for me. Best way hands down.
  7. I 100% agree. Looking at a new Toyota. Considered the 4runner, Tacoma, and Tundra. Mainly city commuting. Tow a 19 Xpress 90% of the time I fish (only weekends) which is about 2,800 lbs. 4runner towing is 5,000 lbs, Tacoma is around 6,500 and Tundra is 9,400 lbs. Curious as to if I could get away with not going with the Tundra as I prefer the look of the Tacoma and 4runner. Want to stay with Toyota.
  8. Thats about what I figured. It is a dual axle trailer.
  9. Considering a new vehicle and trying to weigh options. So, it the boat is 2175 plus the motor is 555= 2730 lbs plus fuel and gear=3000ish. Would you say the trailer would weight 1,000 lbs? So a total weight of 4,000?
  10. How much does a Skeeter ZX250 w/Sho 250 loaded with trailer weigh? Can see a bunch of figures about dry weight for the boat but curious with everything what it would weigh with the trailer weight as well Thanks!
  11. Likely there wont be a sale on MB rods. They are always excluded. Better off going to your local dealer.
  12. Exactly what I see it as. It's a general guideline or a manufacturers suggestion.
  13. Bama Bass, and even Tacticalbassin got old and boring to me. Tacticalbassin just seems to want to push product now. Tacticalbassin has wonderful insight but most of his videos are so repetitive now. However, Fish the Moments videos are extremely insightful and he does a great job. There are a lot of great videos just depends on the topic.
  14. G Loomis or Megabass, if only one.
  15. I personally prefer full grip for a lot of techniques but can and will fish both. It's all preference. In reality, the difference in weight is marginal at best.
  16. Exactly, great job J Francho. I agree as I took it the same way. Tieing a good knot is easy. Just find a knot that works well with the line you like and for the application you like. Tie it a bunch and practice will make it easier. I'm sorry but DD bass mean nothing to me. For example, J Francho lives in NY as suggested by his location on his profile. The state record in NY is 11 lbs 4 oz. Whereas, if you fish in Florida, Texas, and California where the records are 17, 18, and 21. The quality of bass fishing is different. Do I think J Francho and many anglers on here that have a smaller PB than me can outfish me? ABSOLUTELY. There are some great fisherman on here. Catching a huge bass is always fun but you have to remember that someone fishing California versus somewhere like North Dakota, Hawaii, Minnesota is not an even playing field for largemouth. Those other states offer fishing we dream of but the largemouth doesn't thrive as well in that environment.
  17. Braid to FC leader is extremely effective and offers a lot of versatility as you can cut the leader off and run straight braid in certain applications. Also, braid can last a long time on a reel plus tying in leader material will make great use of the fluorocarbon line. It's actually not that expensive if done properly. IMO you are looking at it wrong. Don't think about it in terms of up front additional cost for the same product. They are not even remotely close. Braid does not degrade like mono so it lasts longer, strength/line diameter advantage, sensitivity advantage. Tying in the fluorocarbon leader is the additional option which Seaguar Red Label would be the best budget line. I know you will mention knot strength but most people on here have no issues.
  18. Megabass for me as well. You will be pleased with the jerkbait special from Megabass for sure. I love mine!
  19. I highly disagree. The NFC blank is good but I think the Expride and the MB utilize a better blank. Because NFC attempts to sell a blank at $200 mean nothing.
  20. Diablo Spec R or even the Daemos would be nice.
  21. Make sure when you buy you use a secure, reputable website. Also, be careful of your local everyday transactions. Skimmers on ATMS, gas pumps, etc are all there to steal your information. Employees at restraunts are known for taking pictures of CC and buying things.
  22. Great rod! Let us know how you like it.
