All around paddletail size?
What colors would you recommend for the keitechs? What colors would you recommend for the rage swimmer?

Hourly averages bass
1 bass per hour if things are going right and it's like the middle of summer or something hahaha. I've had days where I catch 3 in 15 minutes and 1 in 5 hours. My ratio is awful lol.

All around paddletail size?
3.5? 4? I want to buy some keitechs soon but I don't know what's a good all around size. I fish ponds and small lakes. Also what would a good jighead hook size be for that 3.5 to 4inch range?

Gulp minnows for bass
Anyone here use the bigger gulp minnows for bass fishing? I always use the 1inch for crappie and panfish but recently they started selling the bigger 4inch ones at my tackle stores. Good Drop shot bait maybe?

Best conditions for white colors?
Title really says it all, I want to gain confidence in white my spinners and chatterbaits I have laying around that I don't use, also my lakes don't have shad. When should I throw white baits? Overcast? In Muddy water? During spawn?

Pulled the plug, 2020 Bass season done.
My season ended the 6th of November. I couldn't even get a bite, I've given up until march, got too busy and haven't been able to fish lately.

- The bass have shut down.
My water temps are 54 degrees and I can't find them with this mild weather, same boat man.. they're there but either not interested or already feeding up for winter, I actually don't know what to do right now lol. They don't even want the ned rig.- 6th sense plastics
They're okay, I personally love their hardbaits and swimjigs. Such an elite design and care is made into those baits. This company definitely cares about quality over mass produced cheap garbage.- Winterizing baits
I have a whole bunch of swim jigs and chatterbaits that I probably won't be using again until spring that have the trailers still on them, should I take the trailers off or keep them on for spring? I feel like having fresh trailers would probably be better right?- Shaky Head vs NEKO
Shakeyhead slaps the neko rig right in the face. IMO it looks more enticing than a neko and the worm action is better.- Cheaper alternatives to Megabass jerkbaits
- The bass have shut down.
I only caught 10 fish on lipless cranks this year. Maybe i'm throwing it wrong or in the wrong spots but it's been a absolute bust for me this year. Love the KVD 1.5s though. Favorite colors have been Tennessee shad and chart black back. Sexy shad has also produced for me well in bodies of water with no shad. LOL! You southern guys have it soooo good down there. A friend of mine I used to fish tournaments with moved down to southern Georgia last year and caught his PB on New Years Eve. 7.2lb Largemouth on the alabama rig in cold open water. I was so jealous! Frog bite died off in early September in my neck of the woods. Once those night temps start reaching into the low 50s I give up on topwater.- The bass have shut down.
Been raining a lot here recently. Hopefully the water is below the 60 degree mark now and the bass here realize it's feeding time before winter. I already winterized most of my baitcasters. Probably not even gonna throw any topwater at this point all slow baits like neds and jigs.- The bass have shut down.
In Jersey the water temps are officially in the low 60s here and I've tried everything at my local ponds I fish, I've fished deep, shallow.. fast and slow, small and big.. and I just can't get a bite going on for a week and a half now. All the bluegill aren't near the bank anymore and I'm convinced the bass are under my nose but aren't biting anything. What should I do and will this continue into the later half of the fall. Is my season finished until spring?- When to shut it down for the year?
Florida is the promise land for bass fishing. They have warm temps all year and it ticks me off lol.- When to shut it down for the year?
Same here in Jersey, My last fishing trip of 2019 was actually in the middle of December when we had a mild day in the upper 50s. I hate this time of year to be honest, everyone hypes up mid and late fall because they live down south but it's never the case for us Northern guys, it's already starting, my last bass was caught almost a week and a half ago now.- We all start somewhere.
There's an old man at my pond that throws a deep diver sexy shad on a saltwater rod and size 4000 reel, max depth is 12 feet in one hole and the rest is only 5 feet. He asked me what I used and I told him gummy worms because I'm not giving my competition an edge like that. Told him Have fun catching catfish bud LOL- We all start somewhere.
When you guys see new anglers fishing for bass what is the most ridiculous and strange lure setups you see them throw? I always feel bad when I see a bobber and crankbait rig. But then I remember to myself that we all started somewhere in our fishing journey. What about you guys? What newbie rigs have you seen that make you cringe/feel bad?- Is it a good time to fish after heavy rains raise pond levels
I literally fish a similar pond, go try it man, the fish are probably around the pipes that feed the runoff into it, (if your pond has pipes) don't be surprised if the bite sucks though, the fish might be suffocated with fresh food and easy access to it with rising water. I personally do better when the water is in a period of lowering over a few days. Baitfish can hide more in places the bass can't reach. With flooded water like that it's open season and the baitfish are everywhere.- Nasty fall algae bloom
Would jerkbaits even work in these algae blooms?- I struggle with the dropshot.
That's my main lake which isn't very deep and heavily stained, there isn't many places I fish round here where bass use their sight primarily. But as the water cools and the lake clears up I might re toss it.- Anyone else get skunked today?
Currently on a 2 day skunk streak. This nasty algae bloom has taken over my pond and the water temps are 65. They won't hit anything. This sucks lol- I struggle with the dropshot.
It's my kryptonite, I can't get a single bite with it. In my neck of the woods I've always thrown the ned rig or wacky rig when things get finicky, only bass I've caught on the dropshot was a nice 2lber on a bed during the spawn with the pink roboworm, anyone else struggle with the drop shot? - The bass have shut down.
