  1. I always watch videos on how to perform a new bait i buy but you’re new going to master it by video. Always try it on the water, the first time i used a Wacky rig senko i got 8 LM and a i watched a few videos now its very easy how to use. Most plastic are used the same or a very similar way.
  2. Thats really weird, try looking online somewhere to figure out the issue. Or maybe Lews will be nice enough to replace it for you if you describe what happened.
  3. well, i sometimes wade the creek and its not super wide so i just want to “pitch” it into smaller spots with logs and stuff for fish to be hiding in. But it doesn’t cast well distance wise you’re right.
  4. No problem. Husky Jerks are normally $7 or $8 depending where you shop at so they are on the pricey side. They work great for pike too if you’re into that.
  5. Rapala Husky Jerk (Suspending) i use 4 3/4 version which is perfect size snd its 3/8 oz so you can cast it well
  6. I use a larger split ring on every spoon instead of those swivels to attach lures with. Say a spoon lure has 2 holes (one at each end) i have 2 split rings one for the hook end and one to attach my line to alone. If you have a split ring already on it theres you do not need a swivel
  7. what do you mean it doesnt go past halfway? I have Abu Garcia baitcasters and never have issues.
  8. I tied a mepps spinner on once this year and a pike broke me off one of my first casts. Will I try it again? Probably next year
  9. Smallmouth largemouth pike carp catfish bluegill pumpkinseed sunfish (all same thing) brown trout (first one) goby (pls kill them if u catch one)
  10. You’re not the only one!
  11. Hello, I usually keep my hooks in the packages they come in to avoid the rust issue, not always though. and for weights I have a small plano box that I organize them by. Ex: one section is for bullet weights another section is for dropshot weights etc. i can DM you pictures of how I organize my tackle too! good luck!
  12. Dont use the snap swivel with spinnerbaits if the wire isn’t closed if you understand what im saying. I dont use snap swivels because it might distract the fish or have it not bite for some reason. It takes a min to tie a polomar
  13. Windy is the worst because its hard to cast or bottom fish. Small amount of rain is ok but if its down pour it messes up visibility in the water and its hard for the fish to see.
  14. Is 1/2 or 3/4 oz preferred?
  15. Will a mono leader work? Or is fluoro better since the fish cannot see it
  16. In between the weeds if there is space i get hit but its annoying with the trebles. By logs is a great place to use them
  17. Weird, where do you use them usually? Like near weeds, structure?
  18. I go to Canandaigua Lake, NY often and go primarily for Carp and Perch but I want to give Smallmouth a try in there. It’s a very deep lake (276 ft max 127 ft AAV). I was just wondering what lures to use to either drop shot or jig for the deep water ones. thanks
  19. SM love Logs, trees hanging over the water and shade in shallow creeks. Poppers/Whopper Ploppers/Grubs are killer
  20. Here in NY starting in September the SM and Pike and Carp bites are gone in the creek by me. I wade in the creek so it’s very shallow. May and August are the best time to catch them for me.
  21. Try some pike on whopper ploppers blowups are 10 times better
  22. I know this is late i just came across it. But its great for catfish carp SM and salmon (especially now)
  23. I fish in a creek in my backyard in NY and starting in September i never get any SM,pike,Carp or really anything. It’s very shallow
  24. thank you for the replies!
  25. Hello, I was curious if anyone has had experience with P Line fluorocarbon, is it any good? I’ve seen many mixed reviews about this line and I was unsure if I should get it. Thank You!
