I have a 16' fiberglass boat that when i bought it, had a 30 lb bow mount I recently changed it to a 46lb , I promise there is a big difference in speed.

I voted Bass Pro Shops, I do however get alot of stuff from some tackle shops such as ISG, Smitys Bait, Gopher Tackle and PS fishing.

In my opinion alot of pro anglers are leaving BASS for FLW for the money. FLW has alot better payouts. Personally I am a member of both FLW and BASS but if forced to choose it would be BASS. They seem to do alot more for conservation and cast for kids. If you are an amatuer like myself I would encourage you to be part of the Federation Nation. In football you have the Super Bowl, baseball is the World Series. In bass fishing I mean you gotta admit its the Bassmaster Classic. This is the reason I will always fish BASS, in hopes of one day living the dream of fishing the Classic.

what size would be suitable for a 46lb 12v motorguide trolling motor?

I agree that more emphasis should be placed on trying to keep the catch alive, however there are going to be times when you will have a fish die on you no matter how hard you try to keep em alive. Our club deducts .2 off for each dead fish. Although I think we should try hard to keep those fish alive I also dont agree with culling dead fish.

Im gonna have to check into that interlux paint, thanks for the suggestion. I talked to a guy I work with I knew painted cars and he recommended 180 grit sandpaper. The old clearcoat was flaking and I knew I had to cut threw it or whatever I put on it was just gonna flake off as well. I finished sanding it with the 180 today worked out great. Few screw holes and all I wanna fill in now and then itll be time to prime and paint, Im gonna check into that interlux paint. Where is the best place to buy interlux paints?

I had started out with some 320 but didnt seem coarse enough to me, I dunno. The clear coat is flaking off and I figure Ive got to at least sand the clear coat off. I want to fill in some holes and all where the guy that had it before me had like some rod holders and all but I didnt need that crap because all I do is bass fish. I was gonna use like some filler primer whenever I got it down but I dunno. I know if I get too close to the fiberglass tho Im gonna find alot of little pits and imperfections in that fiberglass hull. ????????????????????????????????????????????????????

What happened to the Federation Nation in Mississippi? Im surfing the net last year and try and go to B.A.S.S. for Mississippi and it says something about TBF and its got FLW all over Im like what did I go to the wrong site, so I double check and no Im on the right site. So I wonder what happened to the federation nation. Ive been fishing some small tournaments up until this year and then join a club back in January. Well I got the answer to my question this past Monday at our monthly club meeting, the president of the federation nation for MS comes to the meeting, he is now working the rebuild the federation nation which has a little less than 100 members at the moment and only about 6 clubs. I would like to encourage all Mississippi Clubs to join the Federation Nation , they do such much good stuff other than tournaments, such as cast for kids and alot for conservation. Mississippi lets rebuild the Federation Nation!!!!!!!!

If you're gonna buy new I would go with either a Ranger or Triton but you should be able to find a boat thats used in good shape for 10k.

Bud, I am not knocking something I havent tried only trying to get peoples opinion on the matter. Just didnt know what the difference was in them and the rest and have gotten some helpful replies.

Buzzbait or any type of top water lure for that matter. I was watching an In Fisherman video a while back and he made the statement what do all people do when it starts raining, we all run to the window to see. He says bass do the same thing they start looking at their window the water surface. He talked alot about throwing topwater in these situations, Ive went out on the water and put it to the test and its worked for me.

Ah....a mixed reaction. The price doesnt scare, I spend a ton of money on lures, always something I run across I think Ive just got a have and then another and another. Ive just been noticing alot of people suggesting Lucky Craft and wanted to get some opinions on it. Mann's is the crankbait Ive had most of my success with but I will probably pick up a few of the Lucky Crafts on my next trip to Bass Pro and give em a try.

The only spinnerbait Im gonna throw is a StrikeKing. Preferably a Strike King Premeir Plus. Ive had a tremendous amount of success with this lure.

I see alot of posts on here of people recommending Lucky Craft crankbaits. Why? Ive never tried their crankbaits personally. Just wondering what makes them so great. I mean its like $15 when all the other are like between $3 and $6. Just wondering everybodys opinion on and would like to know what makes them better than the rest.

Im redoing a fiberglass boat. Im not sure what sandpaper to use to sand it with, plan on repainting it. A couple of years ago I wet sanded it and recleared but it didnt hold up its now starting to flake off. I want to paint top and bottom side. Dont wanna mess up my hull or anything , any suggestions on what to sand it with??? Also is it ok to use automotive paint or should I find someone who sells some kind of marine paint???????

If I was buying a new boat I would buy a Ranger, I dont know if its just Ranger or if all the new fiberglass boats are like this but the way the fiberglass is tempered now the fiberglass hull is stronger than that of aluminum. Ive been C riggin for alot of year, its my go to bait. In my opinion its the most versatile bait you can fish with. I vary with the length of the leader depending on the water situation. I fish mine on an Abu Garcia baitcaster with a 7 ft MH action rod. I rig it with 25lb flouro with 15lb leader, 1/2 ounce weight. This is the setup that works for me and has for alot of years.

I dont know about the paint chipping thing, Ive never had one to chip but I fish with Strike King and also ISG jigs both have been very good for me. ISG I have just started using their jigs this year and have been very hot lure for me.
