KVD line and lure gets sprayed on everything I own except braid. It just works. Make less memory and relaxes the line. I use it religiously.

I cant remember the brand but one has an I ring built right into it. I'll look on tackle warehouse for it. I thought it was cool they molded the stock bait right around the o ring.

I found a white and chart Chatterbait in a tree when I first started fishing. Tied it on and caught my PB at the time! Now i have more chatterbaits than I'll ever use probably haha. Even a dedicated setup for them. So that was the start of the addiction! A buddy was fishing a t rig beaver bait and broke off. About an hour later we are back at that spot and I snagged the line with a lipless and pulled it all in for him and got his lure back!

I happen to have a fresh pack of Z Craw Jr's in black blue flake, so it will work perfect on a black and blue buzz bait. Went last night snd it would have been a good night to throw the buzz bait but just didnt feel like retying and kept throwing what I had on.

I agree. The last time I used a buzz bait I had two hit it right as it hit the water and I stadted cranking on it. I dont think they saw a blade and decided to hit that, but rather the swimbait that hit and started swimming away.

On a 100 degree day they are too heavy. I like a good craft beer but they fill me up too much, and when I used to drink there was no such thing as one or two. So less filling and easy to get a bunch in me was my goal. Bud light tasted the best to me.

Corona is way over rated even with a lime and salt. When I used to drink i would take a bud light over that pee water any day!! Over or under rated: "Performance" clothing?

I'm really suprised at how many people don't use a trailer on a buzz bait. I think the trailer is more about profile and a target that actually looks like a fish or frog than just a skirt, but to each their own! I'm going to experiment with the Z craw as a trailer and maybe even a rage bug.

So for all that said a Z craw Jr, do you rig it verticle or horizontal? I happen to have them in black and blue so very interested in this!

Plan on doing some night fishing and thought about tying on a black and blue buzz bait. Then I got to thinking I wonder if it would be better with a Zako on it or just stick with a paddle tail. For chatterbaits I prefer the Zako and Swimon but everything else I will use a paddle tail. What's everyones thoughts?

I sauce my ribs and throw them back on the smoke for 30 minutes to glaze them and that's the only sauce that touches mine.

Im not hung up on anything, so if there is a way that works better I'll try it!!!

They are super versatile. Swing head, t rig, carolina rig, shakey head, and the reason I got them is to Neko rig. Im sure they would be good rage rigged too. Ive had best luck so far on a t rig and I do one big hop and let it flutter down.

If you have to use sauce on your ribs they aren't good ribs!!

Hooking them over is so I can have the hook vertical and not horizontal along the bait. Its the way i like to do it. Good idea about going to a hardware store. I will have to try that.

I bought the O-Wacky brand of o rings for wacky and Neko but they are really tight and when I cross them into a x they really cut into the baits. Especially max scent Generals. I know they have different sizes and I need to check what size I have. I mainly use Generals and Gambler Ace stick baits. What sizes are best to hold snug but not cut the baits in half? Been eyeballing the VMC crossover rings but still don't know what size I need.

I need to look into these. I was wacky rigging last night and the o rings I have a bit small and after one fish, basically cut a Max Scent General in half. I would pay more to get a good ring that doesnt ruin baits. I might as well hook right into the stick bait because the I rings were so tight, especially when in an X.

I recently got a pack of the Lazer Sharp Chris Zaldain weedless Neko hooks and have been using them for wacky. Weedguard is a heavy mono and has more of a V bend than round bend and I really like them. They are sharp and I havent had a fish come off that I got a good hookset in to.

Ive been in a fishing funk the past two weeks. Last weekend my wife told me to go and I talked myself out of it. Yesterday after work I got the ok to go but fell asleep on the couch for two hours. Now I am home from work and could go fishing but I'm laying on the couch again and my eyes are getting heavy. To be honest though, I have depression triggered by PTSD from combat and I haven't been staying on top of my medication lately so that may be a part of it.

Since using it last 2 weeks ago its been in my house in a rod rack so I'm sure all the scent is gone but I'm about to go fishing so I'll probably end up throwing it back in the bag and using a fresh one. It makes me think though that as far as scent goes, Max Scent baits may be a one time use deal because the bags dont have any liquid like Gulp does to recharge them. So once it all seeps out its just another stick bait its looking like. Ive also thought about using an empty lure bag and putting all the used Max Scent lures in it and spraying some Bang in the bag to see if it will soak in.

If left on a book when you're done fishing I know Gulp baits will dry up and become hard. Does MaxScent do that? If they dont get hard do they lose their effectiveness and need some sort of juice to soak in? If left on a hook for say a week, should I throw it back in the pack and use a fresh one?

No I had promises of my job boat getting fixed up but seeing this thread again made me wish i got rid of it and bought a kayak again!!!!!!!

Overrated. Ive run plain dino oil for 5,000 miles and high dollar synthetic for 5,000 miles and didn't notice a difference. Not in color when changed, not in cooling, not in anything. French toast? Old bay on everything!!!!!

They call it fishing, but its basically throwing big, high powered magnets into the water and see what you find. I know you tube videos sensationalize just about everything and not everyone finds knives and jewelry, but you never know until you try! My wife likes it so she can do that and I'll fish!

I could argue that ive never seen every worm in the world so there could be a bright pink one out there..... But im not haha. That's true, but my personal taste in swimbaits is realistic to what's local. But that's just me.
