  1. I have experience in this. Bobby Garland Mo Glo sauce works, Bang works, Fish sticks work. I especially like smearing a Trick Shotz ribs full of the Bobby Garland gel. It really clings in there for a long time.
  2. I like tinkering and trying new things so I say go for it. I dont think it will affect it negatively in any way so what can it hurt to try?
  3. Totally off topic but which one is more gimmick? Live Target or Lunkerhunt? Anyways i live in the home of the biffle bug and have yet to try it. Heck ive been to the Gene Larew factory, and still havent tried it. But I did just start using swing heads a few months ago and never used a beaver style bait either. Maybe soon I'll try them.
  4. Wow!! I would definitely stock up on them. Great find!
  5. Wow that's a great deal!! What a lucky buy!
  6. Less mass to move around? I'm guessing that is the science behind it.
  7. Very cool info. I do know tungsten is next to diamond in hardness and more dense than lead. Its a very unique element. One thing that has held me back was I did think it looked funny having a teeny little bullet weight paired with a big body craw. But as long as the bass don't care then I guess I shouldn't. Next outing I plan to pick up a pack in 5/16 or 1/4 and give them a try and see what I think before buying tons of different weights of them.
  8. I've got the General in Powerbait but not max scent. Do they have a different compound that makes it have a different action or just more stank to them?
  9. While I haven't used any maxscent yet I do love Powerbait lures. Does the maxscent smell more? I'm wondering if it actually disperses scent into the water or its just the taste when they bite it.
  10. Didn't really answer my question much. No one reported back on using them, just that they had them.
  11. Has anyone tried the Ozark Trail tungsten weights from walmart?
  12. To make a long story short, a T Rig is a confidence rig for me and ive been throwing all sorts of new to me stuff trying to find the next greatest thing. Well I'm tired of not catching bass so I'm going to stick with the good ol Texas rig on one setup. Are tungsten bullet weights worth the money? I know they are smaller compared with the same weight of lead and transmit vibration more because they are harder or more dense than lead. Is it worth $6 for a three pack? Like does it really make any difference or just a personal preference?
  13. Personally mind you, T rig is more effective because its more weedless, so thus I have more confidence throwing it anywhere and to me its more versatile because you can rig anything on it. But that's just my opinion. Also I'm not a jig guy so maybe I'm biased, but maybe I'm biased for a reason, and the reason being I have done night and day better with a t rig.
  14. Yeah I still dont see how that makes it more effective than a T Rig.
  15. Ok so what is it about a jig? I know a popular trailer is a rage craw. Well ive had way better luck with a t rig rage craw than a jig. Does the skirt make the bass like it better than a regular craw with no skirt? I dont see it personally.
  16. Yeah I'm in the not a jig camp. I dont have a greatest of all time lure according to me, I dont have enough experience fishing yet. I see the texas rig as a technique and not a lure so that doesnt count for me.
  17. That's really cool. Like I want to watch videos of you using it! Could you print open pour molds? I dont know what kind of material you print with and know nothing about heat dissipation and all that, but I find it all very interesting. I agree about all you said. Creative and experienced but he has a good personality that makes me want to listen to him talk. I can tell when he eye balls stuff and it comes out perfect he has been doing it a long time.
  18. Thanks for the advice and options. Thinking more its not that I couldn't go drop the money on a Revo SX or more Speed Spool LFS reels and rods to match, it's these work just fine for what I use them for and i want the experience. Plus the rods are just fine for what I use them for, and if I get new reels the bait monkey will demand new rods, which I dont need. Basically I would be doing it for experience of tearing them down and replacing parts and just for fun. I paint crankbaits, not because they are better paint jobs or better blanks, but its fun and adds my personal touch.
  19. Oh that's cool. Ive heard 3d printing, your imagination is the limit. You have your own 3d printer?

  21. So new bearings are that expensive that it's not worth it? I have the latest Speed Spool LFS and see no reason to upgrade it. If the American Hero fished like it I would love it.
  22. Then I would want to pair them with better rods. If I replace them it would be with Lews Speed Spool LFS reels because I love them. So $100 retail plus rod gets up there. Also wjere are you finding aluminum frame reels for $60?!?!
  23. Well I don't have alot of casting reels. Two cheap and two good ones. Each for a specific purpose. So I would have to replace the cheap ones if I gave them away. There is absolutely nothing wrong with either of the cheaper ones but if I could make them smoother why not?
  24. Has gotten me absolutely hooked on making soft plastics. Ive spent hours and hours watching him shoot plastics. I'm fascinated by it and really wanted to get into it until..... I watched a video he did about what you need to get started with quality stuff. I can see how it can get crazy expensive in a hurry with all the different colors, dyes, pigments, glitters, plastisol formulas. That's not even mentioning molds or the injectors! But wow is it cool to watch. I really like the color match videos where he matches popular colors from scratch. I never knew core shots were a thing either. Anyone else watch and enjoy his videos?
