Never have I ever....
Wow. Ive got a cheap jointed BPS brand swimbait ive struck out on but got a super cheapey multi joint swimbait off Wish and caught some studs on it!

Soft plastics weight
The only plastics I'm concerned about are swimbaits because they will be going on an A Rig. I'm good with the weight of it now but if going to a Zako or paddle tail Zako adds another ounce it would be pushing the weight I would be comfortable throwing on the rod in using. I'm guessing at the moment with small Yum Pulse swimbaits its over an ounce and a half.

When the weather gets nice I'm driving down and going fishing with you and we should throw nothing but this box!! Haha

Classic baits you've never thrown...
Never caught a fish on a hard jerkbait. Whether suspending, floating, or sinking. I have a Rapala Husky Jerk which I like, but havent caught anything on "Yet"

Craw colored bladed jig
I second this. What brand is that paddle tail?

Soft plastics weight
When you have five baits on one setup a quarter ounce difference adds up fast. That's an extra ounce and a quarter. Both of those scales listed were way cheaper than I ever expected. I just may have to pick one up!

Wait, what?

Never have I ever....
Ive looked at baby bullshads for about a year. I watched a video with Mike Bucca and KVD and KVD said the key is to wake them right at the surface like a fleeing shad. So if you do give them a go maybe give that a try.

All around paddletail size?
Thank you! Also that's cool he mentioned Bass resource and @SteezyFishing I like the idea of it. Seems like it would mimic a craw walking on its legs along the bottom pretty nicely.

Never have I ever....
I bank fish ponds 99% of the time so I have a feeling it would be a bit overkill. But...... I doubt the fish in the ponds have seen a big ol glide bait before.

Soft plastics weight
So .33 oz is about 1/3 oz?

Never fished with a glide bait. Does that count too?

Soft plastics weight
Thank you good sir! Answered a few of my lure questions. Didnt see the Zako, swimming fluke, or maybe i should add paddle tail Zako as well. I need some black swimbaits for an A Rig for dirty water and it seems like not alot of companys make a black and blue or all black swimbait. I have black blue flake Zakos but from reading that thread I bet they are heavier than I imagined. Five of them at close to a half ounce plus the rig itself and jig heads would be really pushing the weight I would be comfortable with on my rod.

Abu Garcia MLF
Check out a site online that I cant type on here without it getting censored for some reason. They sell the Shimano SLX rod and reel as a combo where you can pick which reel ratio and which rod. Big selection of length, action, power. They give you a discount for bundling them together.

Soft plastics weight
Has anyone weighed actual soft plastic lures? Ive though about throwing five GYCB Zako swimbaits on an A Rig but they seem awfully heavy and I'm trying to keep as low a weight as possible. I know it would take a gram scale then some simple conversions to oz. But I dont have a gram scale. To me things like Swimming Super Flukes seem really light and like a Zako heavy. Not too concerned about craws and worms and such.

Heard it before, what is Rage Rigged???

Never have I ever....
Would be cool if we could make a sticky post and title it, Now I Have, and see if people change these this year. I have intentions on throwing a carolina rig, but ive got a hard jerkbait tied on to change never having caught with it. I had a wacky tied on a spinning setup dedicated to catching a fish on it but it got retied for a drop shot being cold and all that.

Scientific Bass Information
Did some digging on you tube on this subject and found a few good videos. This one really stood out to me so i thought i would share. Brian Latimer, while being a FLW Pro, is still like us and wondered the same thing.

Never have I ever....
Forgot about the carolina rig. Ive thrown it on three outings and nothing. If I did get any bites I couldn't detect them so I gave up.

But they sure are purty!

Gulp minnows for bass
Ive used them for float and fly and on a drop shot. Both ways have caught me fish. They are my go to when it gets really tough and slow. I hate that the Panfish bite the tails off though!!

Line thru swimbaits...
Ive got an Optimum Boom Boom line through but ive yet to throw it.

Never have I ever....
What have you NEVER caught a bass on? Especially popular lures that get alot of praise. I'll start. Never have I ever caught a fish on a hard jerk bait or never caught a fish on the wacky rig.

I have a bait buying problem.
Yeah yeah haha. I thought about a combo dedicated for casting Roadrunners, mainly for crappie but caught bass on them. But its low priority.

I have a bait buying problem.
Ive told my wife several times after a $50 BPS trip that ive got all I need so dont worry. Then I just have to get this new setup for this specific technique but I'm good after that. Well...... I now own a dedicated ned rig, frog/jig, chatterbait/spinnerbait, and crankbait setup. I'm actually pretty close to being good on combos. BPS is one mile away from my house, something new comes out, I get interested in a new technique (current is swing heads) and yeah I have way too many lures. Oh wait i havent been on Tackle Warehouse in a day!
