Frogs
I got a Lunkerhunt Prop Frog that's the same thing it sounds. I haven't thrown it yet but I like the idea and its soft bodied and has an additional stinger hook between the legs which I like too. I plan on trying it this year.

Ever Shiner / slip-bobber fish for Bass?
I agree. Lures are meant to mimic a real fish, so if they arent working why not use the real thing. Sure i love fishing, but I LOVE catching! No matter what lure or bait. But live bait besides worms, where I live is hard to come by within an hour drive.

Frogs
I love the Booyah Pad Crasher! The Road Runner ive gotten bites but terrible hook up ratio. This past year I had really good luck with the SK Pad Perch.

Yum vs. Gary Yamamoto
I voted Yamamoto simply because 1 lure. The Zako. Stick baits arent my thing. I own them, no actual senkos and only Swimmin dingers, but the Zako is a MUST have for me as a trailer or just on its own.

Alternative for zman finesse shroomz jigheads
I like the Lazer Sharp finesse jig heads. Good plastics keeper, sharp hook, and has a V bend sickle style hook that I really like. If its really weedy, then lifted jigs EWG ned heads.

Small, High Action Trailer Recommendations
Beast Coast makes some awesome soft swimbaits too. I didnt know they made anything besides soft plastics until now so I learned something new!

Small, High Action Trailer Recommendations
Just thought of something when I read crappie. Fle-Fly Go Go Minnows are bigger than moat crappie plastics and really put out some action. Ive got some I use on Roadrunners and they look real good in the water.

Squared back swim baits
Ive heard of the Jenko ones and I believe they are very similar except plastic formulas. Also Beast Coast makes a few sizes and Optimum. But never fished them so that's all i know!

Small, High Action Trailer Recommendations
Zman makes a TRD minnow but not sure the action. Same with the TRD Bugz. But any of the SK Ned Rage are nice. The ned bug was surprisingly small and compact when i saw one in person.

Cruising TW and have questions about lure chemicals
Your profile says Tulsa so the one in Broken Arrow would be it! Luckily I live about a mile from it so I go there way too much! I'll let you know how it works. I agree if I make a TW order I'm getting $50 worth so i can get free shipping, but just for lure glue I'll go local even if its not the mend it brand. If it sucks I'll make an excuse to spend the minimum $50 at TW haha.

Squared back swim baits
Is there a flat back and a square back? If so then arent they the same as opposed to round????

Squared back swim baits
Ive been looking at the BPS Show me the $$$ swim baits and really like the patterns on them, but ive never thrown a squared of big chunky swim bait. I have one, an Optimum line through Boom Boom but have yet to throw it. What's the difference between these and round ones like a Rage Swimmer or Keitech? I'm sure the action is different, but how? Rigged mainly on a swim head or weedless screw lock type? When a squared over a round? I just have zero knowledge about them so please enlighten me!

The latest sale thread
$3.99 red eye Shads are pretty eye catching to me. I might need an excuse to go get a few..... More....
-
I'm going to start throwing this....
You and me both. Like exactly. Started 2020 with no Jackhammers. Ended it with three. Not a big collection compared to some but that's still $45 in chatterbaits! Also got an umbrella rig recently and I am now obsessing over swimbaits for it. Havent caught a fish on it yet, but the jackhammer I sure have!

Cruising TW and have questions about lure chemicals
So basically melting it back together? Never tried that. Would it work on thin wall hollow belly swimbaits?
-
I'm going to start throwing this....
Non swim, jigs and I have one line through swimbait I have yet to ever try. Its a clear water color so that's a big reason I havent tried it yet, I live in the land of the dirty water. But I'll find a place I can use it.

Cruising TW and have questions about lure chemicals
Was at BPS last night and they didn't have mend it so I picked up a tube of Plastic Surgery. I think thats what its called. It was in the fly tying area and I figured I would try it and if it didnt work just order Mend It. Ive heard the spike it plastic bonder is garbage so staying away from that.

For the science types, thoughts on bass and UV light?
Awesome info!! That's a treasure trove of knowledge!

For the science types, thoughts on bass and UV light?
I saw that. That's why I made this thread, to find out the science behind it. Apparently it got moved to tackle and lures but I'm not talking about lures. Just if they truly see in UV or not.

For the science types, thoughts on bass and UV light?
But what predators have UV vision at adult age?
-
Never have I ever....
I went tonight and all they had were dinky little 5" ones. They had a few big swimbaits but not glides, atleast not in the BPS brand. They had a few Storm Arashis but they were $35 and I'm not that serious about fishing big glides to drop that on one right now. I know it's cheap compared to most, but also why I havent gotten in the glide bait game yet! I had my third kid 6 months ago and just started working again last week after 9 months, so that much money that I could snag and break off isn't in the cards.

Do bass feed more aggressively after a bad winter?
I've got a 4'8 UL and a 9' L jigging rod ready for crappie! I wonder how it converts over to catfish?

Do bass feed more aggressively after a bad winter?
I wonder how this applies to ponds. I live in oklahoma and i cant tell you the last time any pond iced over until this past week. So either way I plan on being on the bank as soon as some water starts to show.

For the science types, thoughts on bass and UV light?
The dip was marketed as making the bait glow to the bass. If that was true everyone would be doing it i would think. So that's what initially made me skeptical. If its so amazing and works so well, why doesn't every lure manufacturer make theirs with a UV coating? I knew people here would have the science behind it. Bass Resource ruins another sale for gimmicky hooy!!
