Would love some advice.
catt i love me some "do nothing" banks, a lot of money have been won off of those kinda holes! Never been to that lake but i put those marks on there after a quick 30 second scan and that would be the first hole i'd check

Is 66 yards enough main line to put atop backing on BC reel?
the main question here is what lb test & what rod are you throwing it on? 7'9 crankin stick with 12 lb sniper you are going need a lot more than 66 yards. 7'6 heavy with 17 lb fluoro for flippin docks 66 is more than enough. I typically buy sunline flippin fc & regularly get 4 uses out of it. for your cranking & bombing outfits go to academy and buy some yozuri top knot fc, it's like 8.99 for 200 yards. Works just as good for 1/3 the cost

Spinnerbait rods
the only time i use different outfits is if i have to step up to a 3/4 oz for deep clear smallies.(or night time slow rolling). same rig should be able to cover 3/8 & 1/2 oz just fine.

Would love some advice.
Mainly stocked with Florida strain....tie on an alabama rig and reel it over the manmade brush piles. chatterbait will also get chomped. zman basic chatterbait sexy shad with a strike king 3.75 rage swimmer. cover as much shallow water as possible. jerkbait & lipless should also get bit, they can be more of a pain working around trees than the prior mentioned though

Late Winter/Early Spring Chatterbait Colors
they absolutely choke red here in east tennessee. More often than not these months i will throw red when the sun is out & chart/shad when its overcast. It's not always the case but the sun brings the crawfish out and moving as far as i know. also when i'm catching fish on red you can tell what they're eating by looking at the upper lip, usually looks like they have a little lipstick on. I don't throw red much deeper than 8 feet. any time of year. If the fish are running shad shallow I will tie something red on just to be a little different, but usually when it's like that they will hit a spinnerbait just as well

Coldwater shad kill
ah the dreaded time of year when fish can swim around with their mouths open and gain a few pounds. What are some of your guys more successful tactics fishing these reservoirs? Can usually manage to get a few bites yoyoing a silver buddy, pulling a fluke on a carolina rig, or ever so painfully working a jerk bait. I'd like to hear some input from some of you all on your approach to this situation

Shad rap and light weight crankbait setup
Usually throw them on a spinning reel with 8 lb mono. I do throw them on baitcaster occasionally, more so recently after buying a dawiwa CR80(little thing slings everything from shad raps to bandit 100 series w ease) on a 6'6 medium all star crankbait rod. Feels great and can sling it a mile

Return of the XCalibur Squarebill
all 5 of the ones that i ordered i have pretty good success with, it's all dependant on the conditions. I'll say ive caught more big fish on the red than any other color though

Removing a backlash
my kinda guy. Nothing like blowing a reel up when your DT-6 bill seperates from the plug

Return of the XCalibur Squarebill
the small version is about the same size. I mainly ordered the big ones, they're noticeably bigger than the smaller ones

New Age Staples
i mean, you could check floating dock cables across various lakes throughout the state & find enough of my stuff to fill a box

New Age Staples
thats right! i give my fair share back to the environment as well LOL

New Age Staples
Have two of the three you mentioned there tied on my deck pretty much at all times. I'm old school in the fact i still love throwing "new" discontinued lures: xcalibur xcs, excalibur spittin image, excalibur/rebel shad-R. Obviously these are old discontinued lures but i still feel like they get the "new" approach from fish because they just don't see them very often. The new Suspending lipless baits have been very good to me lately. I still enjoy the old school cotton cordell suspending spot but IMA & 6th sense seem to have a really good new product

Suspending Smallmouth
It's wild man, I dont think i've really ever read any literature on it anywhere but its definitely something i take into consideration once i get a school fired up. I'll typically run the trolling motor 40-45 yards away before throwing a 17 7/8 inch smallie back, i've shut myself down too many times
-
Suspending Smallmouth
they can be but it's hard to. I usually decide after 15 or 20 minutes my time is better spent searching for fish that are relating to bottom. pull an A rig below the bait, i just cant stand to sling that thing for 8 hours consecutively but you should be able to get a couple takers

Suspending Smallmouth
They are tough to catch man. We drop the damiki rig here on Cherokee & Norris. VMC moon eye(the jig head is imperative so the bait will suspend horizontally) with either an armor damiki shad, gulp minnow, or zoom tiny fluke. Hold it very still, occasionally pull it up 5-8 feet and slowly lower back down. Other thing i've had some success with is tie on a 3/4 oz spinnerbait, figure out your rate of fall and retrieve it back to the boat slow just below the bait These fish are very hard to catch, if they do bite and you lose one or throw one back in to the school, they call the cops and the party is over. Very difficult to get them to bite after one of those two things happen, i dont know if they release some kind of pheromones or what, but something definitely happens. Keep scanning your main points/islands looking for bait in that 18 foot area, there will be some on one of them somewhere

Another Braid to Fluro Question
not a direct answer for this that i'm aware of. I think it depends on the knot you tie. If you are throwing a baitcaster that usually throws 15 lb fluoro, throw 40 lb braid. I always tie double uni-knot & 10 lb braid to 10 lb fluoro could pull my truck before it breaks

ned rig weight
Not sure what you mean by heavier than 1/10oz is not a ned rig. A 1/5 oz sits the same on the bottom of the lake as a 1/10 oz. Sure, your fall rate is slower but like you said it's the zman elaztech that makes it stand up right. I'm usually targeting fish that are relating to the bottom, so i want to get down there to the exact spot i'm marking the fish as quickly as possible. Pitching a ned around docks targeting lingering largemouth is completely different, and i agree that you should use a lighter weight

Tennessee fishing
October is my favorite month to fish that lake, it's been known to produce 11 lbers on a booyah poppin pad crasher ?
