  1. nope. other than the bait profile. however they don't foul on every piece of vegetation in the water like a jerkbait
  2. i dont catch too many little ones on the 6th sense plug(they weigh 7/8 oz) i was just yanking your chain quoting your signature lol
  3. because you like to fish lots and catch little!
  4. yeah you have to order them online as far as i know. havent seen them in stores in 10+ years since the old cotton cordell suspending super spot was around. I think they're a lot more popular than you realize, theyre absolutely fantastic to work as a jerk bait over grass. "cough cough" if you go to chickamauga in the next 2 months i wouldnt leave home without one
  5. They're amazing and i don't like to hear people talking about them lol check out the IMA one's as well
  6. boys the key to catching fish on frogs is hold your rod tip high & count to 3 after its underwater. They miss the frog more than i miss them
  7. As with everything, lure depends on what lake. Some of the ones around here you'd be foolish to throw anything other than a jig, big thumping spinnerbait, or plum worm on a carolina rig. One of my favorite memories of growing up were going to the mountain lakes(hiwassee, fontana, chilhowee) with my pappaw throwing jitterbugs parallel to the bank in the pitch dark all night long. No black lights, he preferred no running lights(sketched me out as a kid), and BE QUIET. Had some of the best bags i've ever been a part of doing that. For some reason Jitterbugs don't really work on the lakes around here that aren't in the mountains. Fish do seem to be less skiddish at night and the shoreline bite typically gets better after dark
  8. I've thrown AT MINIMUM 3 pair of pliers into the lake while holding the unhooked fish in my other hand
  9. LOL love the attention to detail
  10. Resale value played a big role in my decision to buy the ghost. The 24v/36v dual compatibility alone will make the ghost maintain its value for a long time in the market. I upgraded from a minn kota maxxum so having the ability to spot lock has already been a game changer for me(especially having to damiki rig a fair amount of the time for the browns around here). Not sure how active the ol facebook marketplace is around your guys knick of the woods, but i sold the maxxum for 550 bucks within 6 hours of posting it. Remember paypal will give you 0% interest if paid in full within 12 months. I don't have kids or a wife yet so why not LOL
  11. northern guys should never rule out luckystrike flat cb series. I know they're pricy, but if you have the old discontinued gold color(i think it was called ghost brown or aurora brown) you're liable to get your arm broken
  12. I have no clue why he needs them when he keeps his TM on 90% flying around all day. I fished around him here in Knoxville last year when the classic was here during practice and dude was humming all over the place
  13. not sure if it's necessarily the hookset, but i lose more fish on lipless than everything else combined that i throw. my guess would be if you're having a tough time getting a good hook with a chatterbait step up a notch in rod power, should throw them on at least a MH to drive that big hook home & keep em buttoned
  14. shhhh with the suspending lipless talk. I don't miss my cotton cordell suspending super spots after finding those 6th sense & IMA ones a couple months ago
  15. lowrance will do this out of the water sometimes, fill up a trashcan with water if its on your TM and put it in there then restart everything. It also says your water temp is 110 degrees. a good ole soft reset may be the way to go
  16. cant believe getting my cell number and wait for pics/report saturday afternoon on what we are doing doesnt rank somewhere on this list LOL
  17. +2---i also have a 7'6 mh fast that i throw swimbait tokyo rigs on. one of the best bang for buck deals out there
  18. yes! i swim them in grass all the time, and typically swim a worm on them if it really calm & slick water. Put a 7' strike king rage cut r worm on there in hard candy. they chew it! also a strike king rage craw slow rolled on the bottom will get you some bites
  19. take a picture of your good catches & lure on iphone. It marks the location on GPS & provides time/day stamp. easy peasy
  20. i use the same stuff and catch plenty of each. My stuff changes lake to lake more so than species to species. I caught this smallmouth on a 7'6h 3/4 oz football jig, 15lb fluoro and the largemouth on a 3/4 oz trap 7'1 mh 15lb fluoro
  21. Using my iphone. By this i mean after every good catch i had in 2018 taking a pic of the fish & lure i had on. The phone marks a GPS location where the pic was taken. Very easy reference point as to day/time/where/what you were doing
  22. they told me they like the mud trail the 3/4 oz puts off more so than the 1/2 oz lol
  23. I talked to a few people who had crap days. fishing up river on that lake is completely different than the lower half and if you arent familiar it can make for a really long day lol lower half of the lake is just so much more pressured it's unreal It's more spot specific than bait--other than this point i caught 1 fish on a trap anywhere else the rest of the day very rarely on chickamauga. If i run out to loudon after work one day i may downsize unless it's in the heat of summer. The forage on chickamauga is big this year & there is no shad kill so maybe its special down there this year? IDK the answer, i do know that it made a massive difference in how our day went
